Dumb. Gus had the #2 team at the end of the season. Didn’t need a mulligan to win his SEC title. Beat Bama.
Kirby’s SEC title is probably the most feckless conference championship ever. Everyone knows they weren’t the best team in the SEC that year. They might not have even been second best

It wasn’t though. The best team didn’t even make the SECCG. That team beat Georgia a few weeks later. A few years from now no one will even remember that Georgia “won” the SEC
