Just like the Pittsburg Steelers who won the 1980 Super Bowl.
The Steelers ran the ball 37 times and Terry Bradshaw threw 21 passes to become the champs. Ah the good ol' days.

And they couldn't wait to get rid of Chaney

chaney, nor coley, was/is our offensive problem.

Who said anything about a problem? I think it is awesome!

kirby, obviously. I've said it many times but kirby's brain is still operating like it did when he was at bama winning titles in the late aughts through the mid-teens and we run the offense the same way. Times have changed and we're gonna have to adapt or die. But until kirby decides to switch things up we're gonna get the same results regardless of who the OC.
I will say though, that the void at WR is certainly doing us no favors. We lost Godwin, Nauta, Hardman, Ridley, and Holloman from last year's team. Some to graduation (expected), some to NFL (some expected, some were surprises), and one to dismissal (holloman). Our offense looks very different if even 1 of those guys was back.

My .02 on Coley, who I hate btw. Any good offensive coordinator in college has to be able to identify the other team's schematic and personnel weaknesses. Then they develop and adjust the game plan to take advantage of those match ups. Coley has not proven he even knows how to properly identify, much less take advantage of, any other team's defensive holes. Even Fat Chaney was a decent schemer in this regard.
So what's Florida going to do defensively. Well, we know Todd Grantham and we know what others have done vs. UGA successfully. Load the box. Press man on the outside. I think Grantham will blitz more than most we've faced this season which could actually work in Fromm's favor. Grantham is not a particularly clever blitzer, he's just a numbers guy. So if I'm Coley, I'm designing plays where Jake can identify the blitzing backer or DB and throw into that hole. This all assumes that our o-line can hold its own vs. Florida's d-line. If not, then we are in trouble.
I'd also start out by running Swift straight at their pass rushing ends.

I do have my problems with coley and am by no means a fan of his. I think he stinks for the most part. Just saying that he can only call plays within the confines of the overall system that kirby makes us run. Still though he needs to call plays better.

I honestly see nothing wrong with that. You still have to identify the other team's weaknesses which we seem to not be able to do on offense.

I don't think Kirby has a major say in the play calling on offense or even the offensive game plan. That's just not the way it works. An OC is the one who puts together the game plan, and the OC handles play calling

They actually don’t run a pro style offense. I wouldn’t expect the mouth breathers around here to know that, though.

Sure in some places. At LSU for instance I'm sure orgeron lets brady and the other guy do their thing without a whole lot of input. That's not how it works here though. Sure coley calls the plays, but it's kirby's offense and system.

Oh yes, 1980. It was a great year, or so I have heard from my granpappy. Of course I wasn't even born then.
I believe that is the year that the internal combustion engine was invented. Nobody really knows, since the internet wasn't around then.

How embarrassing will it be to Florida fans if you lose to Georgia after they lost to South Carolina?

Well I didn't say they ran a pro style offense, I said they ran a 1980 pro style offense. Get it right gump.

I've been saying it al year; it's a Les Miles offense and team.
This is why most LSU fans want UGA to win the East. We would much rather play UGA than play UF again.

Damn sure did. With Buck Belue and Herschel Walker. And they still needed a Hail Mary at the end of the game. As a matter of fact I think Georgia still runs the same offense.
