Feel free to ask me any question about the team. I’ll try and give you a somewhat objective opinion on it.

You said he was a better passing version of Tebow. Check his stats.

Ehlinger is a big ol' country strong fellow. He ain't skeered and he'll dish out as much damage as he receives. He and Tebow are alike in this manner. And his throwing has improved dramatically since last year.

Georgia better have some tall DB's that can leap up and knock the ball down against TX's mammoth receiving corps. Ehlinger has been taught to throw the tall ball and let his boys climb the ladder for it. They good at it.

I wasn't talking about his "stats". I was talking about his mechanics.

But since you brought it up, he's only a sophomore, and he's right there nipping at Tebow's heels.

Tebow senior year: 67.8% completion 2895yds 21TD 5INT 164.2
Ehlinger soph year: 64.3% completion 3123yds 25TD 5INT 148.5

You were saying?

He is a really good qb. He isn’t as good as Tebow was.

Like I said. He's only a soph and he's tracking on the same path as Tebow.

Tebow 6-3" 233lbs
Ehlinger 6-3" 236lbs

There's your measurables. It's the same animal.

I'm sure you've already watched Uncle whatshisname on youtube who's probably given you a breakdown or read about it on SBNation or a fan site but sure.

What's the strength of their defense?

That’s not what you said. You said a better passing version of Tebow.

He is. His mechanics are better than Tebows. Mechanics are a big part of being a good passer.

Honestly not sure there’s a huge strength in the defense

Obviously the defense can play well, and was great against teams like Iowa State and K State who run the ball more, so probably run defense.

LBs are good when healthy, but that was a little bit of a struggle throughout the year. Johnson, Wheeler, and McCollough are all really solid players. DL blows outside of Omenihu and Nelson. DBs will be good, but Boyd commits too many PIs. Davis actually had a much better year than I thought he would have. Sterns and Foster had great freshman years and should be studs, but still take bad angles. Brandon Jones was solid as well. Locke is fine, but misses more tackles than he probably should.

ETA: they actually did a really good job against OU as well outside of losing containment on Murray that one time the first game and played really well in game 2.

The strength of their defense is their young secondary. That's where their speed and athleticism is concentrated. They're just young, but they will be elite.

There. I answered it for you.

That will be the strength of it. Sterns was amazing this year. Foster played well in limited time. Cook is going to be a stud.

I just don’t think that’s the strength quite yet with Boyd committing 19 PIs a game or getting beat on double moves.

I know the Texas team a LOT better than you do, Sooner. Ehlinger is big, but he has a history with concussions. That isn't a big deal in the BDF since you play no defense, but outside of the BDF it matters

Especially since he doesn't slide like Kyler. I actually respect the kid more than I do "Slider"

The secondary will be good, but the DL is total garbage

Boyd is the weak link. He is the guy Fromm will successfully pick on I assure you.

Ehlinger has had maybe what, one concussion his whole career? Cmon man, he isn’t prone to them.

Baker can hang with any receiver in the country. Stokes has played extremely well since taking over

Sterns got beat a couple times over the top as well just from taking bad angles. I thought Davis actually played much better than he was expected to this year, but he’s not that good either. I just saw the way OU’s line demolished Hager and co. and think that is a good omen for the Dawgs.

Just my opinion, but Colin Johnson is very different than any receiver Baker will have covered so far. Not that he won’t still play great, but I can’t remember a match up against someone of Johnson’s size.
