They just went from a Saban guy to a Kirby guy, so I'm guessing the physical nature of the program won't change a ton (aka be more physical than pretty much anywhere else in the country).
Agree to disagree.
Offensive coach vs defensive coach.
I dont know. Im not there.
But i have a hunch that an offensive coach is going to use more caution to keep receivers, backs, tight ends, and linemen healthy.

Right. We ran the 4th quarter program and Cristobal was a disciple of the Saban system.
Oregon was pretty much locked down from COVID for 2 years. They weren't able to go out or socialize.
Lanning came in and saw they needed to have fun again.

Mario is guy who practices martial arts in spare time and took out the Rock in practice in a drill.
Washington fans called him "Meathead."
I promise you, his practices were tough. OL coaches like him and Pittman are old school.

Offensive LINE coach
Big difference, IMHO, from a guy raised in playcalling/skill position stuff

excuses came for why the game was closer than it should be against Clemson. Those excuses are exactly why 1st games can be treacherous. They were pretty bad too.
Are you saying Clemson did NOT have one of the best defenses in the nation?
That a crazy amount of injuries at a position does NOT matter?

Again, I am spotting Georgia 15 points. Calm down.
If I thought an opponent was 15 points better, the tone of my posts would be very different than your takes, most notably your take on our passing game.

Lol
In my opinion, that doesnt change how they approach practice.
The analogy is the US military.
Sure... they are all badasses.
But an OL coach is the air force of the military. Sure he is tough and hard nosed. But he is also going to underwrite the risk to his men in his choices. Safety and linebacker coaches are the crazy mf'ers that want Monday thru Thursday to be tougher than Saturday.

I am a CFB fan. I don’t need to be modest because Oregon isn’t as good as Georgia.

If you want to come across somewhat clueless, then by all means. Facts don’t seem to be a concern of yours.

No. Georgia underperformed in the 1st game of the year and won. What's your problem?
Most teams on Clemson's schedule scored more than Georgia.
Part of the explanation is teams are typically rusty in game one.
Don't worry about it.

Not really, but you are once again ignoring circumstances that changed over the course of the season, and you already tried to discount other key points:
1. UGA chose to not score at the end of the game as we were in victory formation. Other teams didnt have this luxury. We also missed a FG. Thats up to 10 points.
2. UGA's Qb had an undisclosed injury for this game. He eventually lost his job because of this injury. Also lost a starting OL. Injuries matter unbeknownst to you.
3. Losing their stud DL Bresee was a big deal for them. Happened about halftime of NC state's OT game. Their captain LB who almost destroyed Justin Fields in 2020 was also hobbled later in the season. Again, injuries matter.
4. Losing to UGA was a big blow to their confidence. Mindset matters.
5. UGA had crazy injuries at the WR spot, so it was the 1st game for multiple freshman who eventually excelled. This fits in with the game 1 thing you are focused on, but not for the reasons you argue. These guys turned out to be very good despite your argument otherwise.

Sounds like you are the one who could use a stiff drink

Yeah. Between covid high school seasons cancelled and a few medical redshirts, it was the first game in 2 years for a lot of our freshman players.

Any questions about Oregon, feel free to ask.
Thanks for the opportunity. Here is a two part question..
Why are you knot heads so woke and why do you all want to move to Texas after you screwed up your own state?

We are staying put and fighting the woke madness.
However, sending out the tax bill yesterday didn’t help.

Lanning is a great hire, imo, between his recruiting and coaching at Oregon and their brand (Nike and their NIL $), and Riley at USC, the left coast is gonna be back in the hunt for the playoffs and Natties within two to three years.
UGA is still gonna win against Oregon by as much as Kirby wants to in Mercedes Benz stadium come Fall.

Oregon will end up giving up 200 on the ground. However, it will come in fits and starts until the 4th quarter.
I don't think the throwing windows are going to be as tight for Stetson as you think they will be if you give up 200 yards on the ground.

And you would never expect them to excel in game 1 of their freshman season vs an elite D.
