I've worked with many people like this, back home they are work-hard play-hard 30A married fathers of 2,3,4,5, and when they go on business trips they treat it like an escape and go nuts. That seems to be what this guy did, still no reason for him to be murdered, if he was murdered, but if he OD's in a crackhouse and they disposed of the body, then it's sad but that's the game when you binge drink and smoke crack in the ghetto on your business trips.

Oh I wouldn't say that. It's where a crime scene is right now.

Baton Rouge hasn't been the same since Katrina. Doesn't have the infrastructure or law enforcement to deal with the New Orleans transplants, and hasn't done anything to change it either. It's a shell of what it was when I was in school.

Something about this story isn’t adding up. News says that his body was to decomposed to make a visual recognition, and was identified by using fingerprints. So, his fingers didn’t decompose?

We welcomed a lot of refugees with opened arms… Most have squandered their opportunity to have a better life here and have brought a lot of new problems. Different than BR being that close to all the damage, but we’re a top 5 place to live, work, and do business. So one pretty much has to decide to make trouble or not work in NWA.

So sad. I was in Baton Rouge just last week, and travel there frequently for work in a similar industry as this man was in.
I never stay downtown. It’s just too dangerous. I stay at the other Courtyard, closer to LSU, or the Marriott next to the I-10/12 split. Being out downtown late at night is just not a good idea.
I love Baton Rouge, but it is extremely dangerous and you have to be aware of your surroundings.

Understatement of all understatements.

My uncle is a retired CSI from Pensacola. He told me about a case he worked on where a woman's body was pulled out of the Gulf by one of Joe Patti's shrimp boats. Her remains were dismembered and stuffed into a trash bag. He was able to identify her via fingerprints, so it can and has been done before.

It’s definitely got worst since we had the 2020 pandemic shutdown.

That’s a huge stretch. With that logic, McDonalds shift managers are executives.
Do you think your position at a McDonald's places you in executive management of a billion dollar global corporation?
Executive Management means you're usually a VP or higher for a company, not a store.

Sucks to hear. Maybe BR is a hole but every town over 100k is a hole to be fair. Hate it for this guy's family. RIP.

fricking idiots act like this is not common in any metropolitan area across the country. Sorry that the fella died and feel bad for his family but if you play stupid games you win stupid prizes.

Where his body was found is an area that was bought up by Exxon after they blew up half the buildings there in 1989. Based on the timeline, this guy went out to score either drugs or pussy, and ended up in a ditch. I wouldn't surprised if he came back with drugs in his system.
