"Coach told me he was going to kick me off the team or I had to transfer," Kimbrough told The Associated Press in a phone interview. He said Smart's edict came after Kimbrough left practice on Tuesday.

If this is actually true, and Kirby told him to transfer he was going to boot him - then Kimbrough must have had a SERIOUS attitude problem. Kirby knows depth is of the utmost importance and if he wasn't willing to keep on experienced depth on defense, that says a lot.

Wish him well but the best way to get rid of cancer is to cut it out. He was obviously not happy at UGA. Hope he finds happiness or maybe a team that will let him play and coach...

Why would he process an experienced contributor at a position where we want depth?

This will hurt the depth no doubt about it. He had issues with the former defensive staff last season. I guess he felt entitled being a senior this camp.

Small note. UGAs top 44 projected 2 deep there are only 6-7 seniors. He happens to be one of em.

He was a good thumper for sure but the young dudes have such a higher ceiling.
