you cant tell these tards anything.

Football at it's heart is a sport of leverage. From it's inception "Low man wins" is a solid rule of thumb. You get high, you get beat. Option offenses which include much of today's spread concepts do a ton of flow and counter flow stuff. In fact the best modern practitioner of cut blocking is Scott Frost at Nebraska. Cut blocking is no more than leverage and neutralizing opponents by gaining leverage. You hit 'em low and tie them up and the play goes past them. The bigger, stronger team is frustrated but that is the beauty of coaching.

That's not a dirty style of play. It's a good way to block. It's not a chop block, it's a cut block, which keeps the defender from moving and opens up holes for your rb. If you can take their legs out, they can't move to the ball and make a tackle and can't cut off a play, redirect it into the middle where their defenders are for them to tackle the rb. It's football, stop being a pussy.

Actually, it was the opposite attempt. The Southern player tried to run over the kicker and failed miserably.
Never lower your head, folks.

Damn man the OP is not a Bama fan. I’m tired of saying it. He’s a State fan that has recently put an Ole Miss logo by his TD screen name. I will not abide Bama getting blamed for other teams fans.
Edited to fix errors.

Are you going to get injuries due to cut blocks? Sure you will. You will also get injuries on just about every play in football. Hell, some of the worst injuries and biggest hits I've seen comes when the QB drops back in the pocket for a perfectly legal pass and never sees a defender barreling into him. Trust me, I got to watch several years of a Bert O-line, seeing QBs get lit up like a cheap cigar is nothing new to me.
Is the triple option antiquated? Well. Yeah. But it is worth noting that the I formation is much older and that the shotgun formation is a contemporary of the triple option (wishbone version). The modern flexbone offense is almost twenty years younger then the shotgun.
Hell, the singleback/ace formation is only a few years younger then the flexbone. Meanwhile the Skee-gun (pistol triple option) which I've seen Army and Clemson run variants of is only about a decade or so old.
Is it a high school gimmick offense? Army won 11 games last year and tied the worst ever beat down in bowl game history running out of the flexbone about 90% of the time. If winning 11 games a season is a failed gimmick offense then may God smite Arkansas with such a withering lack of success and may we never recover from it.

This is odd. I’ve read multiple threads on this forum with all sorts of SEC fans bitching about GT’s style of play yet suddenly everyone is defending it.

Truth. Bottom line is, everyone cut blocks at one time or another, from pee-wee league to the NFL.

Thank you. Everybody at every level has cut block at some point.

Better than that POS Sanford and Son stadium. LOL at those "supposed" titles you have listed. Only two are recognized. Tech still has more natty's than Athens Community College and conference titles. 1980 baby! LOL

Don’t have a problem with a triple option team. Bama ran one in the 70’s. My problem is a dirty team playing dirty. GT was a dirty team.
