that is a much better argument than using tech and uk as examples. I can't help what other LSU fans think, I do think 06 was our best team and we would have stomped on tosu but im not so sure we beat uf in a rematch. we turned it over alot and made huge mental mistakes on the road in the swamp. So i dont think we were the best team, I do think we would have reamed tosu. the difference bt 06 LSU and this years bama is LSU messed up on the road bama lost at home. I think some weight has to be given to a team that losses on the road vs at home. It would seem easier to claim being the better team if you lose on the road vs losing one at your place to a team that is neck and neck with you. In cases where teams like LSU 06 and bama this year are right up there with the other team i lean toward thinking the better team won.

Let me start by saying AL has a very good defense and a very good running game;however, they never got past the 28 yrd line. LSU gave up yards but stuffed the Bama running game when they got near the red zone. You missed 3 @50 yrd field goals. You could have attempted a 70 yrd field goal and that would have been another missed opportunity. You forget that LSU kicked field goals from the 2 and the 5. Each team had missed opportunities. The fact is that Alabama has a young QB and LSU made him do more than he ha been asked to do thus far. How about the Bama nation giving credit to the LSU defense for stepping up when Bama got Near the Red Zone. They Never got in the Red Zone. Bama has a very good team but some of the fan base has trouble giving the team credit for a great game plan and better execution. The kicker didn't beat you LSU beat you. Maybe you will get another shot!
