To Mr. Bitter Auburn fan:
Fact - Alabama is the No. 1 team in the country right now.
Fact - More fans follow Alabama around the country than any other SEC school, save maybe Florida.
When LSU was No.1 back in '07, I think they played on CBS 5 times. CBS rides the big horse. Deal with it. Right now, it's Alabama.

Not to pile on, but parkjas here's what you need to understand...
Higher ratings = more money from advertising. This is an indisputable fact. Bama = higher ratings and therefore = more money. It's the exact same way with Sports Illustrated covers/featured articles.
Now do the rest of the teams get screwed because of it? Yes obviously it sucks for pretty much anybody but UA, UF, or LSU because those are CBS' cashcows. But it's not a pro-Bama conspiracy, just good business.

CBS has to pay a fine to each school that doesnt get shown on CBS.
I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that is not true. CBS has a limit of how many times they can show a particular team in 1 season, but they do not owe any direct money to an individual team for not showing them. When was the last time Vandy was on CBS?

Who cares? Before it was Bama it was always the UF Tebows and LSU that were on the CBS games. CBS gets 1st pick so naturally they pick the best team in the SEC vs a ranked opponent if possible.

Wait a second......is this Auburn kid really saying that the CBS agenda to promote Bama is so strong that they are willing to sell to their shareholders the idea that it is better to promote Alabama football than to turn a profit?
WOW.
WOW.

Yes it's a classic case of the little-brother syndrome.

Next week, they have tentatively set the Bama/Ole Miss game over Arky/AU...you tell me.
So by your logic, Bama has already been shown, Arky has already been shown, and Auburn will be shown at the end of the year against Bama. Ole Miss will have LSU, Arky, or the Egg Bowl on CBS more than likely.
So the blockbuster matchup for next weekend should be Vandy/UGA? Sweet, I'm in.

The potential of Florida sucking this year (and being without Tebow) is a big problem for CBS. At least last year, they had the pretense of broadcasting the entire SEC -- even if that meant only Florida and Alabama. This year, it's all Bama, all the time.

The 2:30 CBS game will be AU/Arky if both teams win this weekend.

Here's the thread he started on the Help board asking how to delete his account. LINK
This was his reason.

Yup, impossible to have real football conversations there.
However, he wants to cry about Bama being on CBS too much.

I'm not joining the OP in saying CBS has a master plan to promote Bama at the expense of ther rest of the conference. I agree that the current Bama love is about money. My point is that Florida with Tebow was their other cash cow. With Florida tanking, no current SEC contender (Arkansas, Carolina, Auburn) has a national appeal. To meet its goal of maximizing dollars through national TV ratings, CBS has to broadcast practically every Alabama game.

You're right on the money. (get it?) They are going to cover whoever is bringing in the big bucks.

it's like they come over here and expect it to be like ITAT or AE, where you can just wallow around in your own propaganda free from 'bammers' and reality
AU fans are coddled so much on their home boards that they can't handle places like this imho

No bitching from me as a Florida fan. I would rather play a night game on ESPN, over a night game on CBS. I don't have to listen to Verne the dumb arse. As long as that dike from ESPN isn't doing the game, I'll be fine.

I would rather be on ESPN this weekend, just because I have a wedding to go to at 4.

Parkjas was also coming off pretty butthurt in the rammer jammer thread. His team is undefeated, yet he's still miserable b/c of Bama's success.
Now, that's a rivalry

not sure where you're headed with this topic.... but will only add that when you're the king of college football, the TV peeps will want you on their network.
Of course being Alabama AND having CNS as your coach only helps.
