A&M fans were confirmation of every hilarious stereotype I'd ever heard from UTx fans.
In a word: dorks. Socially awkward weirdos with laugh out loud traditions. I'd rather have literally any other permanent West opponent.

Exactly my experience last night as well (Although I was wasted.) They came and did their own chants and everything, but after I spoke to a few USC fans and we just had a big laugh about it. This is getting blown out of proportion big time on here.
I wasn't there, but from what I hear, that's pretty much how it is.
Social media and forums tend to blow things out of proportion.

I think the point you are missing is perception. USC fan sees it as disrespect to celebrate on their statehouse grounds. It comes across as bold and brash and conquering. It also gives the perception of disrespect toward the state of the school you are about to play. This after being welcomed into the state with open arms

You're making far too much sense.

The last time I was in Columbia they were doing a civil war reenactment on the state house lawn. I laughed.

That was not a reenactment that was an actual attempted secession and revolution.

aggies are known for practicing cheers
Gamecocks are known for practicing revolution. That's our tradition. There are three things in the world that deserve no mercy, hypocrisy, fraud, and tyranny.

Not surprised. Of all the places I have attended college football games, and there are many, SC lite was the worst. The fans were terrible, even after they won. I have NEVER seen fans so unsportsmanlike. But then, when you have never won anything, you don't know how to win.
Hate to agree with a bammer, but this.

The level of jimmy rustling from this regular yell practice has been crazy. I love it.
Was this the first time ever that the Cheer Leaders forgot to "MugDown?"
It's being reported by 247 that it didn't happen b/c the cheer leaders were so flustered.

I don't know if this has been blown all out of proportion or not; I do know that the Cocks are one of the SEC's more reasonable fan bases; they don't have an itchy trigger finger in the metaphorical sense. Takes a lot to really rile them up.
LSU fans on the other hand.
If Aggies start trying to organize students in the areas that other SEC teams regard as off limits then it will get nasty. Maybe very nasty. If Ags could care less, and have the "bring it" attitude, we will organize wherever the hell we want to In your town, then other fans will indeed bring it.

That was one of the main points of all this, had another location been chosen, like a park, it probably wouldn't have been an issue to half those fans that showed up.

This is why people get bent out of shape. People who have never been to campus before may not know about this. Grown men don't react well to people yelling at them. Maybe asking politely with a brief explanation would be a better thing to do. And then, if they refuse, well tough sh*t. He's a grown man and can do what he chooses to do.
It almost feels like it's gung-ho fake military people wanting to feel like they have power.
