I think it will be an outcome like the 2012 game.

That's not unthinkable, just have to reverse the score.

Don't be so Cockeee, Don!

(Sorry. I've been wanting to use that for awhile)

Now I am thinking it really wasn't worth the wait.

Does this mean we play Sandstorm backwards?

Seriously, I like USCe and will be rooting for them all year. But I'd find other reasons for optimism.

The calendar says he was born 11-23-97, Which is class of 2016. Jacob Eason was born that same week.
Are you saying Eason was held back a year as well or that all high schoolers in a given class must be born within a week of the same date of one another?
Or, are you claiming Tua was held back by his Daddy a couple of years?
Or, are you claiming Hurts is a genius and is way ahead of everyone and should really only be a RFr this season?
Quit spinning, quit speaking in tongues, and when you insert yourself into the conversation with some random spinning misrepresented partial truth you overheard, in an effort to make your point ... then make your point.

Eason was not held back a year. If he were, he would have been class of 2017. Kids born in November 1997 are naturally class of 2016 unless they are held back. It’s a simple concept that you are overcomplicating for no good reason.

It's a proven fact. There have beem studies done about it and evidently there are a lot of reasons for it being such a common malady among Sophomores.
The craziest thing is that it seems to affect both true sophomores and redshirted sophomores equally, regardless of actual age. It's a problem for second year players in the pros as well.
Very very few have avoided the dreaded sophomore jinx.
last time we had a QB play his freshman and Soph yr was Murray. Threw 11 more TDs (35) and completion % only dropped 2%. I'll take that slump all day

Scrooster:

djs may be a lot of things, but this doesn't appear to be spin unless you're specifically talking about the *reason* for holding him back... that he was held back shouldn't be in question here.
His birthday is *already* late enough in the year that he would have been held back from his "calendar year" (ie. ignoring birth month/day, when would he have started school) normal start date and on the older side in his class.
You start kindergarten at age 5, so if his birthday had been Jan 1 for example, he'd have started in 2002. K-12 would be 13 years of school finishing 12th in 2015. Because of the birthday later in the year, he gets held back to start K when he's closer to 6.
You argued that he's somehow a year behind everyone that came in at the same time... except that he's really not.

No ... I get it. You overcomplicated it.
My point in the original response was simple.
Bentley only played three years of HS football before going straight to P5 D1 SEC QB play.
You're the one who wanted to make it a chronological issue. I provided the dates and left it up to others to make that call.
Doesn't change the fact that my original reply was exactly correct.
Bentley played three years of HS football ... or am I wrong? You tell me.

Hate to say it, but scrooster is in here dropping truth bombs...
Bentley is composed and talented beyond his years. What he did as a should-have-been high school senior burning a redshirt is remarkable.
If not for the disaster that was Kurt Roper, he would be rightly recognized as the consensus best QB in the SEC east. Newsflash, Roper is gone, and BMac, who coordinated the dismantling of an ELITE Michigan defense is in his place.
Add in the fact that SC boasts the best skill rotation in the conference, and Georgia better be ready for a week two shootout.
The line at 14.5 or 12.5 is easy money on SC, but the easiest money is to take the OVER. Gunslinger with elite weapons in Columbia is a recipe for points points points.

I am only triggered by UGA losses. Can't be triggered today, but the potential exists in a few weeks.
Forgive me for being nervous about replacing 33 seniors from our deepest/best team of the last 40 years.
