FSU just wil lnever get back to where they were. The ACC was the WAC when they got there in 92. Now They have a losing recrd againgst Wake in the last 5-6 years and Miami isn't that much better.

thats bc they fricked up like LSU and hired a tard to run things and he drove all the talent butch stockpiled right into the ground. now they are fricking up again by letting a non swagga coach handle shite. they go back to 80s style U and its on all over again.

Florida State fits geographically and culturally, but they do not add any market that Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida don't already have on lockdown.
I say we can find a team that does expand our TV market, like Miami.

Let Florida State in. I think that Florida would sweat because they would start to lose more talent to a team that actually coaches kids up for the League.

UF may want to veto FSU, but every other SEC Pres and AD will vote yes..11-1 FSU Yes Vote.
Miami, due to weak private school budget, weak fanbase, and not owning their own facilities, is a bigger stumbling block..would probably get more yay than nay..but it wouldn't be unanimous sans UF like FSU would/will.

This. It's about not implementing ObamaCare into the SEC.
FSU brings nothing to the table. The FL TV market is covered by UF. What can they add other than their success from the the 90s and early 00s?
They are going to be a drain. Plus, admittedly, I hate them.
You guys take them in the West and split your money with them.

Wouldn't every vote have to be unanimous?

Well the "tard" they hired won, whereas Butch never could.
Butch Davis....great recruiter...can't win with his own players. This will be his legacy at UNC, too. Watch it happen. The guy isn't a gameday coach. He's coach February.

Why would you vote a team in that can't pay their own bills?

What? He had Miami ranked #2 at the end of the 2000 post-season and should have had the chance to play OU in the Orange Bowl for the NC that year.

FSU had their chance in 92' but Bowden was to much of a pussy to join the SEC. They can live with their mistake, just like Georgia Tech.

Some folks on here have very short memories. FSU and GT will never be in the SEC and that is their own fault. To Hell with em'.

+1
I hope that they get in. So they had a bad year last year, Miami as well as the rest of the ACC did not look too great (aside from Ga Tech who would NOT be able to run their offense in the SEC).

OK, take politics out of it. Why should the SEC fund FSU when they don't bring anything back to the table?
I understand that the SEC will have to react to the Big 11 expansion if it happens but I don't have to like helping a foe.
The FL TV market is handled by UF. Will any FSU bowl appearances be enough to offset the the money they receive from the SEC? Maybe, maybe not. At this point in history they are no better than Clemson (excluding their great run from 8 years ago).
I know they will be seriously considered but would they be without what the Big 11 is doing?
