Correct...the contract which the MORONS at the SEC 'negotiated' does not include any type of escalator clause, calling for additional $ with added teams/games ! Unlike the intelligent contract which the B10 'negotiated' for themselves ! And yet not ONE media person/outlet called out Sankey for his stupidity !

Well the SEC could've kicked out a&m for Texas in order to generate more money
Your emotional flaming blinds you to simple facts.
Revenue sharing in the conference is equal across all member schools. We added two schools and nothing was renegotiated. If this were a company, all adding tua and OU did was effectively dilute shares to the other stockholders. Pretty terrible oversight.
Would love to hear your hairbrained idea of how kicking A&M out of the conference would “generate more money”.
Spoiler alert: it wouldn’t and you look like a dumbass

Both schools have really done themselves a disservice with the way they are trying to leave the acc and are doing more harm then good in charting their future
Fsu wants to bitch and moan but you could have been in the sec back in 1992
If you would have had foresight that should have been the path

We could add Texas and kick aTm out and still the conference would end up ahead financially
Money is why Texas is here. No other reason. Money trumps their history of ruining conferences.

NEVER been any kind of agreement to keep any team from any state out of the SEC.
That ^^^^^^ is 100% incorrect. Absolutely 100% incorrect.

If every SEC team could get more revenue from adding other teams, the SEC would do that.
That is probably true, these days. But "get more revenue" is poor wording, less than accurate phraseology.
If The Conference, as a whole, might benefit not only through a more substantial TV deal but also through a larger recruiting footprint, more marketable rivalries and less operating costs .... then yes, The Conference Presidents would undoubtedly entertain a proposal from the Conference Commish voted upon and brought foward by committee ..... to add said expansion teams.
That's not going to happen at anytime this decade, if ever. Because none of the above would be gained.

Right now, SEC media partners ABC/ESPN will not add to the already agreed to contract.
True ... $300 million per year which was a hefty bump over the old contract of $55 million a year from CBS and then change from ESPN.
One thing this current contract does, it gives us a bit of a coverage advantage in terms of exposure. And this was a key consideration for recruiting and PR purposes.

The SEC literally tried to add FSU in 1990

Wrong. We supported FSU joining the SEC as far back as 1965.

FYI, the GA was made between Georgia, Florida, & SC.
HOW was TA&M to be a part of it?

Yeah...they've done NOTHING in baseball.

I, among many others, wonder what the SEC would look like now had that happened.

We know how the “gentleman’s agreement” works. Especially with that Snakey bitch in charge.

Except in this "company," ESPN is the owner, and the schools plus the SEC office are employees that have zero stock. The owner simply hired two more employees at the same rate they pay everyone else. No dilution happened.
And I very much doubt SEC lawyers simply forgot to add a membership change contingency / escalation clause in their last deal with ESPN. Once CBS walked, the SEC had no leverage, and ESPN steamrolled them. The days of 50% increases in TV money every 10 years are gone.

As much as I love SEC baseball it barely pays the bills.
Vandy baseball is fully funded. Despite the unfair financial advantage, Corbs can only get the most talented roster to Omaha five times in 22 years.
In time NIL will level the playing field or better yet when college baseball is increased to 35 scholarships Vandy baseball will fall to the level of all other sports. Average at best.

That was the deal and it was well known at the time, from '92-2012.

Foley and the powers that be at UF in 90-91 vowed FSU would never get in.
Ask him. He's been open about it. Once FSU turned down their chance .... it was over with UF.
And there's even more to FSU's "renegrade years" in the 50s and 60s ..... especially just before and when Bowden arrived. UF was totally against it.
