why? what could be the possible motivation to keep something that is potentially so benign secret?

It's an ongoing investigation. Police probably told her not to answer any questions related to it.

Let's be real. The police will always say that someone isn't a suspect in the media, until they have some info that is about a specific individual.
True but usually the term person of interest is used if their is suspicion they are involved.

questioning will be similar to..
Detective: Mr Collins, is it possible that you could be the father of Ms Mills baby?
LC: No sir, i havent been with Brit in about a year and a half.
D: so you wouldnt mind giving us a DNA sample then?
LC: uhh uhh, let me ask my lawyer

I wonder if she was alive long enough to tell responders what happened, since they actually know someone knocked and asked to use her car. thats pretty specific

very much so.
also, thought this somewhat relevant
August 21, 2011:
"On Monday police will interview QB Jordan Jefferson, OL Chris Davenport, DL Josh Johns and WR Jarvis Landry. Sgt. Stone of BRPD emphasized that they were just wanting to get information from the players, and not wanting them to turn themselves in, and no arrests warrants have been filed."
they're totally not suspects because BRPD didn't specifically announce them as such

Schefter trying to get clicks for ESPN. He's a greasy shitebag. I love how he answers his iPhone on air during the drafts as if getting some "inside" info from "Shefy" 5 minutes before the draft pick is announced makes one bit of a goddamned difference.
Same thing that happened to Mett with the leaked reports of the "failed" drug test when it was just flagged because he was pissing straight water (not that it shouldn't have raised eyebrows).

You are wrong. The cops think La'el murdered Mills.

Why is it "odd" that a family member would not comment on the victims personal life on TV soon after her death? Come on, man.

Agreed - that is very detailed. I wonder if the neighbor may have seen or overheard the conversation. Timeline-wise, where was La'el anyway? Still in CHItown?

La'el on his way back to BR
@AdamSchefter: LSU's La'el Collins voluntarily pulling himself out of CHIC to return to La. to meet with police in effort to clear his name, per sources.

You seem very emotionally invested in this. If you have exonerating evidence, you might should go to the police.

Yes. All you've done is machine gun the messenger. Nobody knows anything, and if they do, they should speak up.

Well, BR radio was talking about it just a few minutes ago. The new twist is the police want Collins to take a paternity test to see if the baby is his. There is an issue here of a baby in a hospital with no parents right now.

...but (I am really assuming here) you CAN control yourself, so kindly GTFO.

Exactly. Glad Collins is doing the right thing and hope he is innocent.
