“ Honest question. I was at the game last night (first time to Norman). Why do Sooner fans do the “horns down” even when they are playing other teams. Every person they showed on the big screen did horns down. It didn’t really make sense.”

Because we hate Texass and want everyone to know that

Georgia is a struggle with Kentucky offense.

Georgia in a struggle because they have 3 defensive linemen out.

I believe that’s the sentence you should be looking for.!

Anyone sleeping on Hawkins. Arnold was a top 5 star but doesn’t have it on the big stage. The talent is still there locked away in his head and perhaps Lebby can fix him like SC fixed Rattler. But anyone selling Hawkins short due to his stars is in for a surprise. He’s a legacy Sooner and has all the tools. He did not then the ball over yesterday and OU outscored Tenn with him in game. Decisions were timely and passes crisp. Effort was outstanding.

Your defense is legit and I look forward to seeing you beat Texas. Let's see how many passes Arch can complete under pressure lol

Well considering Quinn will be starting…

Personally after watching the game, you both looked bad. With OU’s lack of offense Tenn should’ve been able to capitalize on a tired defense more.

Just to reiterate, Hawkins is the guy. But that is only one fix but we have too many injured players with a bandaid oline to boot. 1/2/3 WRs were out. Best RB. Oline missing players. But some of the problems stemmed from qb play and Hawkins can help mask issues as we get players back over season. He came in cold without 1 reps and did not turn ball over. Made quick decisions. Good passes. Gave his body up to score. He plays with the passion Arnold doesn’t. He can at least stop the bleeding while we work on the rest.

We hate Florida but we don’t do the gator chomp when we play Bama. It comes across like OU is obsessed with Texas (little brother syndrome)

I love how for the last two years OU fans have said Arnold will be just as good as any of the other OU quarterbacks and he was way better than Arch or Nico in that recruiting class

Now they thrown him to the curb and Hawkins will get a statue

Tenner is a one trick pony

Flag football level offense.

“Go deep”

52 running plays and 21 pass plays.

This idea in many non-Tennessee fan heads that we are some 7 vs 7 passing air raid offense is an ignorant proclamation deployed by people who are not actually paying attention to what our offense does philosophically with our play calling every Saturday. We attempt to cram the rock up the middle more than most people in the SEC

We are a space the field out, ground and pound first offense that uses the running game to set up ideal passing situations.

Every OU fan is saying this online. Whatever helps you sleep better. You had a mop up TD to make it a 10 point game and Tenn was playing conservative

I'm not an OU fan and I'll say it.

Oklahoma outscored Tennessee 12-6 in the second half. Oklahoma's defense had 2 strip fumbles caused in the 1st half, and the Oklahoma QB gave the ball back to Tennessee on the very next play both times.

bullshite. All your starters played until the end. You ran the ball because your offensive line couldn't protect your QB which lead to 2 strip fumbles in the first half.

You were lucky Oklahoma's QB gave you the ball back both times on the very next play undoing the negative effects.

Hell, in one of those cases the Oklahoma QB not only gave you the ball back on the very next play, but he also furthered the ball 21 yards for you, which resulted in a TD a few plays later.

Oh, and btw, that TD came off what? A bunch of runs, aka Tennessee's gameplan.

Not one person watching that game last night thought OU was going to win

This is their first conference game and Heupel wants a win and move on. He tried to shorten the game the second half

If he was really threatened, I feel like he would’ve opened it up

I don’t care anyway you slice it; Tenn is a better team than OU. OU needed a perfect game to beat them

No, he did not try to shorten the game. He was trying to score the entire time.

Tell me, how did the last TD Tennessee scored in the game(2nd quarter) happen?

8 runs in a row. Was Tennessee trying to shorten the game then too? 5 minutes left in the 1st half with a 9 point lead?

No. They didn't pass because the last pass attempt before those 8 runs results in a strip sack fumble. Which was not the first of the game, but the 2nd time.

You guys don't know shite about football. Thinking a coach let off the gas because he had a 16 point lead in an away game at half time? You're fricking retarded if you believe that shite.

If the game was never in question, why did Tennessee play their 1st string until the last play?
