I heard that the fan said "Why did you pass three times on that last series?" and Hugh Freeze's hearing aid fell out so he was trying to get closer to understand what the fan was asking.

According to my sources the fan, being displeased with the score, asked Freeze when beaver season started. Freeze mistook the beaver comment to be something pertaining to his wife.
