Is Drink more of an offensive mind, defensive mind, or just a CEO type?

well there in lies the problem. AD wants him to be a CEO (which he is good at), but he fancies himself an offensive mind (which he is not - at all). He manages the DC very well so far, but gets weak OC's and meddles. The last 3 years his teams have been consistently at the top of the SEC in defense and consistently at the bottom in offense

Missouri would be out of their mind to fire Drink this season. Ain't yall basically grabbing a kid out of the stands to play QB? Drink may be lousy but he is better than getting involved in the coaching carousel as fricked up as it is this season. Of ALL the teams who are looking for a coach now one of them may make an upgrade.....if that. Its insane that starting from scratch is the only answer and it seldom works out.

Current QB was the 4 star QB from last year's recruiting. He is next man up and playing because our idiot Off Coord ran our #2 QB who was competing for the starting position up the middle like a fullback on his very first play of the season. Severe leg injury.

No one said anything about Drink getting fired.

So the current QB was #3 at best on the depth chart in August, no? And the season, while surely disappointing, is not horrendous. There is plenty of uncertainty in CFB at the moment, adding to it by firing a coach who has done an admirable job if not winning a natty would be, in my opinion, stupid. All of the teams looking for a coach already are not going to upgrade...most will remain about the same or get worse. Some consistency, especially when you are mostly competitive, is a better idea, in my opinion, than chasing something that piles of other programs are chasing when there ain't no one who is available yet who would be an upgrade. Just my opinion, I'd like nothing better for about 14 SEC teams to wonder Tennessee like through the darkness for 25 years as long as UGA ain't one of them...but it seems some situational awareness is called for.
