Certainly he could be, nobody is saying Skal has no chance to be #1 overall, yet we're here to this point because you're simply arguing against something that never needed to be argued against because all he stated was a fact that Simmons is a majority opinion the #1 pick in the upcoming draft right now
do you want to go back and see my original post in this thread?

Just pointing out its a quarterback award. You would know this if you followed college football
What does anyone from A&M know about football? Also if you followed you would see that Fournette is a MONSTER favorite to win it.

You know you guys are a lot closer to saying that than I am right?

I've yet to see a mock draft not showing Simmons as #1.

I'm sure people will continue to debate about Simmons ITT but Lange is clearly the one who will frick this up. Great college pitcher but not close to being the clear cut best or first overall pick or anything like that

Simmons is probably going to be the best but I think he better play a season first.

A decent enough people think skal can go #1 to the point where I'm not just going to assume Simmons is better if we get to see both play

I've yet to see this prediction anywhere. Where ar eyou reading/hearing this?

I just googled and cbs is the only one I saw.

A&M is now dick ricing TCU. Do you have any pride?

Nah. They used to, but now they are just like the tsips--more worried about what kind of wine pairs best with their weekly beat down and the money the athletic department has.

It's sad that the blue collar program of Texas has turned into a gaping vagina that says "howdy" every time it queefs.

I only saw CBS on the first page of google

I get what you're saying, neither have played yet. But I still think Simmons is a more versatile player that fits the new PF mold in the NBA. I just don't see him not going #1. And yes, I know Skal is also insanely talented.

Was the OP about rankings? because Simmons is #1, so therefore all this arguing would be irrelevant.

I really haven't even watched much of skal. Just read draft reports on him. If skal isn't eligible then it's a no brainer that Simmons is the best player in the country

I just meant I think OP meant current rankings. Fournette was #1, Simmons i s#1, and Lange is considered #1

draft grades are kinda pointless if that's what he meant

When is the last time, if ever, an SEC school had the top players in each major men's sport on campus at the same time?

Yep, that's what he meant.

eh, Tebow was a freshman Noah's last year at Florida. Tebow wasn't the best player in the country, or even starting, at that point

still really doesnt change that, if skal is eligible, its something we need to wait on and see how they perform. unless he meant currently as in right now this second which would be retarded since neither basketball or baseball have played a single game

Awesome answer... Only Barkley was on Campus at the same time a guy named Jordan was at NC and a guy named Olajuwon was at UH and a guy named Ewing was at Georgetown... Close but no Monica Lewinsky cigar for you... Not so sure Lange is best in Country either BTW

I think the point was just having the #1 player in each sport. Idk. Fournette might not even go #1 overall in the pass heavy NFL.

It's not retarded to recognize that LSU currently has 3 #1 players in the 3 major sports.

i still think the notion that there are three major sports in college sports is dumb. baseball isnt close to basketball or football and this is from someon who follows college baseball. but thats for another thread. i dont think its very fair to already claim simmons as the #1 player in the country when he hasnt even played a game and there could be a player in the SEC that has just as good of a claim as simmons
