If averaging 17 points, on offense, isn't all that bad, then yes, they were great offenses.

Crooms took the mutts to a place they don't make 90% of the time at the end of the season, a fricking bowl. It's Mississippi fricking state, no coach could consistently win at that shite stain. Mullins gets his cock sucked for beating one team in his division and beating 0 good teams last year. I bet he's loving being in starksville, beat shitty teams and get his a-hole licked..

Rather have a coach who beats the shitty teams than one who loses to the powerhouses of Vandy and Jacksonville State. And by Mullen beating only shitty teams, I infer you are confirming what everybody else thinks about the bunch in Oxford, last season and this coming season.

Actually Troy State was in 2001 under Jackie Sherrill. State was pre-season number 20 in the AP poll.
I agree though it would be a terrible hire if UNC hired Croom.

That 2001 season under Sherril was a complete zoo. I was at the Troy game. Just before halftime, a tornado ripped through campus, stadium evacuated, and game resumed 2 hrs later. Field was flooded with about 6 inches of standing water on sidelines. Complete mess. And then there was the game.

You realize Croom let a lot of talent slip away from State, he kicked out several and let Ndomukong(sp?) Sue slip away to Nebraska. Sue's sister played soccer for State.
