I don’t know Capt Dalton one bit, but I guarantee I’d much rather sit down and drink a beer with him than a lot of other people in this thread.

You'd leave that beer on the bar, half full.

He's a shitbag.

I am betting the vast majority of rant posters have never killed someone through negligent or vehicular homicide, fled from the scene, not turned themselves in until a warrant was issued for their arrest on felony charges, fired a gun in the vicinity of their sister and stolen her car, led police on a chase, and finally shot themselves after which the car they were in went out of control before crashing into a building.

Those people should sit this one out. But everyone else can step on up.

I think most non trashy people realize he likely didn't intentionally cause harm to anyone and while he did as a result of bad decisions, it's still sad that it had to end with even more loss of life.

I think most people realize that driving recklessly at a high rate of speed passing other vehicles in no passing zones can cause harm. Kyren Lacy undoubtably knew what he was doing could cause a wreck, or worse, and he did it any way. No one forced him to. It was all on him. It ended up getting someone killed. No, he might not have meant to kill someone. But he knew it could. Then it did happen.

If he had stopped and said “oh I made a mistake, I messed up, I am sorry” people would look at this differently. Instead though he fled and left the scene. He then did nothing until a warrant was issued for his arrest. Never did he voluntarily step forward. No, he tried to avoid getting caught. Then to make it worse he fires a gun, steals a car, gets in a pursuit, kills himself, and crashes the vehicle into a building. No, this was not just a simple bad decision. He didn’t just forget to look and accidentally back into someone in a Walmart parking lot. We are lucky we aren’t reading about another innocent victim or three. I have no problem calling out someone who would do all of that. That is not trashy, you just want to attack me. That is just par for your course. I wish I had a nickel for every time you had called me or another Alabama fan trashy. That has become your go to cut down. Someone saying they don’t have sympathy for Kyren Lacy in light of what happened is not trashy, it just hurts your fragile feelings. And it provides you an opportunity to attack people you don’t like. But have no doubt there is plenty that is trashy with this whole situation.

Trashy is knowing you caused a major accident yet fleeing the scene without trying to render aid. Trashy is knowing you were responsible for killing someone and simply doing nothing until a felony warrant was issued for hour arrest. Trashy is firing a gun and stealing your sister’s car. Trashy is leading police on a pursuit until you shoot yourself and crash said stolen vehicle into a building. We are lucky he didn’t kill someone else during all that. All of that is trashy. And all that actually happened, it wasn’t just words on the internet.

Not having sympathy for a person who would do all that is not trashy, it is human nature. He killed one person and scarred two families for life. It is pretty clear from his actions that Kyren Lacy didn’t care about anyone else but Kyren Lacy. If he had cared he wouldn’t have repeatedly put others in danger like he did. If he did he would have gone to trial and tried to make amends and become a better person. He didn’t.

And you are deflecting for him, diminishing what he did and somehow rationalizing that he wasn’t the bad guy here. No, the bad guys are the mean people on the internet who refuse to sing his praises.

That is messed up.

That's a lot of words.

This is the best thing that has happened for you since Alabama basketball crashed and burned.

Touch grass, shitbird.

Damn you let this place make you angry. It is weird that random internet posts that ultimately mean nothing can impact someones day and life. But they clearly impact yours.

It is sad no one realized how serious the warning signs were and stepped in to get him some help before it was too late.

I will get downvoted to hell, but there were signs. Brian Kelly spent half a press conference talking about it. It is sad someone did not get him the mental health and emotional health assistance he needed before all this happened.
