The key is was he betting on LSU or betting to profit from LSU to lose or not cover. Not condoning it but the former seems to be less serious. Pete Rose was betting on his team to win.

Less serious, sure. But he has inside information other betters don’t have.

Even if you bet on your team to win, you’re still taking money out of outsider’s hands.

Apparently he funneled some of his winnings to Our Lady of the Lake Foundation. But before we go crowing him a modern day Robin Hood, it appears that money was embezzled right back out. He’s more of a modern day Billy Cannon. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

His name is "Kayshon"

I'm sure he's a good boy, and this is only a mix-up on law enforcement's part.

Boutte wasn’t just placing bets, with those amounts listed I’d venture to guess he was booking.

Yep. Dude was taking bets from underage kids and making the bets for them.

This can't be true. The article said he opened an account in a lady's name and used his mother's credit card to initially fund it.

He is also accused illegally gambling, using that fraudulent account, to place thousands of different bets including some on LSU football. The wagers and payouts involved “several hundred thousand dollars,” said one source familiar with the case.

He would be but how would LSU know?

Word is, they knew after the SEC Championship when he announced he was coming back, then had his mind changed for him. One or two months later, LEO comes searching for someone with the handle of kayshonboutte01
