Your butthurt knows no bounds. It was just reported on the radio that the robber tried to take Miles' jewelry and cash, and he fought back and was shot.

There's no butthurt here. I linked Garnet and Black. I guess that's being butthurt. Hope he's ok, no matter what the situation was.

I read the link, thank you very much. But at this early point in investigating anything of this caliber it's pretty common knowledge that it takes awhile before all facts are gathered and it really pisses me off that our own site posted that crap before enough time for this to happen has elapsed. Yeah, maybe I spouted off at the wrong person since he was just posting what our site said...but the guy was shot and he just doesn't seem like the type to be involved in something of that nature. FWIW, news sources I've been checking are reporting that he was approached by an individual that demanded cash and his ring. And that he did not want to be transported to the hospital but EMS insisted. I think this may be where the confusion about him not wanting police called may be stemming from. It was the EMS he did not want called, not the police. Again, that can also be counted as pure speculation bc it will be awhile before all of the facts are released to the public. Until then, I would think the humane thing to do would be to hope that Kenny is okay, regardless of who he used to play for.

That is even more stupid of a story. Shot and he doesn't want to go to the hospital?

RA'd for basic lack of humanity.

ETA: And FWIW, the gunshot was actually to the arm and in no way life threatening. See what I mean about facts coming out as time progresses? Wow..amazing how that works.

This isn't really implausible, actually. Some people only think there's a big medical bill coming when you say you're calling EMS.

He has a government job working for the SC Attorney General's office. I doubt he is worried about medical costs with government insurance.

Especially if it was just from a bullet that grazed his arm and did not penetrate at all. He actually received his degree from USC in Criminal Justice. He's a very nice, stand up guy.

Exactly.

This is a "fan" all Mizzou posters should refuse to claim as one of their own.

brachial artery disagrees... also in every state gunshot wounds are required to be reported to law enforcement by medical personnel

I'm a nurse, an ER/Trauma nurse, to be specific. I'm fully aware of the damage that could be cause if the bullet had penetrated. I'm certain that is why EMS insisted he be transported to Richland Memorial. (I worked in their ER/Trauma dept for many years, actually) But from what I'm hearing, it was not a penetrating wound.

The police said it was life threatening in an interview.

LINK

I would trust what they say over some SC fans.

That's funny..Coach Spurrier is even confirming it was a gunshot wound to the forearm and Kenny is fine.

I'd suggest pursuing another topic more close to your Columbia, TigerMattSTL. Maybe..teaching lessons in laces OUT, perhaps?

I'm just glad to hear he's OK. Hope they find who did it. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from him.

Jacked up. Curious to know why he didn't want the cops there though.

Sounds like a good guy.

To the YankeeMilkToastMizzouFans who posted things reflecting negatively on Miles Character:

You're some stupid pieces of shite.

Sherrif's Department just confirmed that the robber tried to steal Miles USC ring, which resulted in a struggle and him being shot in the forearm.

Kenny was a great Gamecock, he has a good job, and is even looking to go back to USC for Grad school next fall and be a Grad Asst for the Football team. He's a wonderful ambassador for our program.

MilkToasters posting shite they find to slander his character or make false assumptions about drugs or circumstances is unacceptable.

You're on notice.

It wasn't the cops that he didn't want there.

He didn't want EMS called bc he didn't want to be transported to the hospital.

I apologize for linking Garnet and Black. Obviously way out of line.
