No it's bullshite he's being suspended six games for a crime that only the NFL deems punishable. No charges, no need for a six game suspension.

Wouldn’t there need to be video for the NFL to suspend him for that long if he wasn’t arrested or charged?

Have no idea what happened but sounds like a big money grab to me or money exchanged hands back in 2017 to make it go away.
