The usual suspects:
#13 Florida
#17 UGA
No other sec school made the list
Curious what that number would look like without HOPE scholarship in Ga.
If you don't understand why this matters then you shouldn't have started this thread.

If it is not Cal, Michigan, UCLA, UNC, UT, UVA and UW at the top the list is shite

Have you ever wondered where your football program would be without Nick Saban as well?

UGA comes just short of a championship again
Put into some perspective, though, using the FULL Forbes rankings referenced by the original poster that include all schools, UGA is as usual even further from a championship than their fans think...or maybe these rankings just don't matter.
#45 Vanderbilt
#78 Florida
#95 Georgia
#142 Texas A&M
#171 LSU
#196 Auburn
^--BIG 6--^
#202 South Carolina
#216 Missouri
#252 Alabama
#266 Tennessee
#268 Arkansas
#306 Kentucky
#308 Mississippi
#365 Mississippi State

Y'all get rid of the Hope scholarship. Alabama gets rid of Saban. Everybody wins

It's always interesting watching someone make fun of another institution's academics when their academics are clearly worse. It's like if I were trying to make fun of UF's basketball program as a whole, as a UGA fan. It just wouldn't make sense.

Isn't your school on the verge of closing down?
Ring the bell when your school matters in academics.

Jimmies rustled. Now THAT's interesting.
Honestly, I was just pointing out the silliness of the original post. After earning advanced degrees from two top 15 (the real top 15) schools, I wouldn't trade my time at LSU for anything. And I don't put a lot of faith in the rankings.

LSU got some of its TOPS money cut by the State Government budget cuts.
So where in HELLLLLLL do you get that a UNIVERSITY is 'on the verge of closing down' when it is the STATE GOVERNMENT and government agencies and offices that are suffering budget cuts, NOT LSU, Socrates.
WTF does that even mean ???
Only about 11% of LSU's TOTAL annual budget comes from State government.
This has nothing to do with LSU or their financial well-being. LSU, just like any other college in this day and age, goes though periodic belt-tightening, but it was not due to state government....
Also, Einstein, LSU has several nationally ranked curricula and programs, including: Coastal Environmental Studies, Veterinary Medicine, Petroleum Engineering, Geophysics, Music and Dramatic Arts, Landscape Architecture, Internal Auditing, Agribusiness, Entrepreneurial Management, Hurricane Engineering, MBA Program, Law, Medicine, etc.
It also has the prototype for scholar-athlete academic centers - the Cox Center, and has one of the best university literary presses in the nation - LSU Press. In addition, the LSU Pennington Biomedical Complex is one of the pre-eminent research institutions on this planet. The new billion dollar LSU Medical Center in New Orleans is now a reality. LSU is one of a handful of research universities listed in the Carnegie Institute's "Very High Research" institution list.
LSU, through the ForeverLSU and it Master Plan and Quality Thrust, is more selective than ever, increasing admission standards yearly, and encouraging diversity as much as any other school in the nation.

My God you are uninformed. Or, maybe, you just like to make up shite to suit your fantasies.....

I honestly don't give two shits about lsu but understand it is not known for its academic reputation.... Other than that and during football season, I don't ever hear much about your college.

Yes, your knowledge of colleges has been very well established in this thread. Try stepping away form the Rant a little more. No one outside of Georgia cares or talks about UGA, either.

So because YOUUUUUUUUUUUU "don't every hear much about" LSU, that means it is somehow not known by ANYONE, including in academic circles, including academic associations, the periodicals and journals, the media lists, etc. that rank academic curricula and programs within universities (including the ones I mentioned at LSU)?
I "never hear much about" your college either. Does that mean that UGA's academic buildings, campus, employees, research, curricula, programs, impact on the economy, etc. just like, magically DON'T EXIST ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ummm... The link in the OP of this very thread says otherwise

That's ridiculous too, and makes this ranking a joke.

This thread proves that the rant will argue about anything.
