Most kids (Texan or otherwise) are not intellectually conservative, they come by it through culture, not intellectual pursuit.
And I'm not knocking a conservative culture - I think that's fantastic. But "Aggies" didn't get there through any sort of higher-level thinking - make no mistake.
Whether liberal or conservative - UT students are much more driven by soul-searched beliefs, whether right or wrong...
And they like to win at football.

I think most college aged kids that are conservative are that way because their conservative parents did a good job of raising them.
