With the defense LSU has and all of their hard games remaining at home, yes they are a contender.

I keep seeing this, but there was never a point in the game where it looked like AU was ever going to move the ball consistenly on LSU and win the game. LSU moved the ball and then penalized themselves into bad 3rd downs, couple that with a fumble on the 1 yd line.
All stats were heavily favored toward LSU and they won the game....
I would understand if people say AU played LSU close, but LSU didn't almost lose the game. We didnt' get lucky to win; we dominated the game for the most part.
Baffles me when I see people say that.
