I honestly don’t know any Aggie who cares that much about OU, don’t love them don’t hate them, just feel ambivalent. Then again I’m sure your location within Texas matters. I’m sure Aggies in DFW care more than those of us in Central Texas.

After Texas, LSU, and Arkansas … I guess OU would be in the same category to me as MSST and Alabama - teams there’s enough history between us for various reasons (coaches) to make the matchups interesting / enjoyable, but not really a dealbreaker if we can’t make happen all the time. After those three it’s Auburn and USC, who I just like, and after that every other team is pretty much the same to me.

It’s one of the oldest rivalries in college football that would bring tv money and prestige to the league along with state pride to the winner. It was a Texas tradition forever. But playing Texas now means nothing because 10 years have passed and we are the bully we’ve always been? LSU and Arky are not y’all rivals. Never will be. The LSU/A&M Thanksgiving game is an absolute joke compared to UT/Aggy. Was forced upon the country when Texas said frick you after y’all had the balls to bounce. Let’s not pretend Aggie has any other real rival.

Ags aren’t particularly interested in what you think about our schedule.

What can I tell you, the LSU game is more fun. Their stadium is a lot more lively and their fans talk sports not accounting.

Y’all got OU though, aka “The Real Rival”. It works out.

That’s fine. I’m just tired of Aggie pushing their bs narrative of UT doesn’t want to play and “oh the LSU/Miss pod makes the most sense cause we are all great friends and business partners. There’s no shame in saying we don’t want to play Texas every year because they cast a large shadow. Aggie has fed y’all complete bullshite for 10 years about a school and team frankly no one outside of arky knows that well. It was fine letting aggy spin their insecurities in a different conference but pretend time is quickly coming to an end. Which is why y’all saw Aggie shite their pants this past week.

So now A&M/Texas is an old, prestigious rivalry that Texas and the nation needs?

I thought we were a mere distraction from your real rivalry game at the Cotton Bowl?

Sorry man. Like has already been said. LSU is just more fun. Better stadium, better atmosphere, better fans, better food.

If anything when it comes to playing football it’s the OU shadow that looms larger. They straight pillow smothered us in the Big 12 in ways Mack/Texas wouldn’t dream of (I will never forget “Mr. Texas A&M”) and with that pod system they can go prison rape Arkansas instead. Playing modern Texas every year isn’t a big deal.

But LSU has been a good partner to let us have their rivalry game week after y’all wouldn’t play us ten years ago. That doesn’t change until they want it to out of respect.

It wasnt working with Arkansas no real animosity

I guess mortcycle coach flipped off Les once.

Ole Miss wasn't competing and Bama had Auburn

And I feel like we have had some fun the last ten years. The LSU win streak, y’all beating JFF, the Chavis thing, us getting Speedy, the rivalry towels, Speedy being a flop, when we couldn’t take Aranda, the crazy OT game, LSU’s perfect season tboning, and now the whole O vs Jimbo thing.

I have also appreciated LSU fans just like yourself talking shite to us all these years in direct ways (“your football team sucks shite and you think too highly of your team”) and not in weird ways (“we are going to call you Aggy because it sounds like a hive mind”). Y’all have been relentless and demanding and happy to enjoy our pain and basically everything else you expect out of a “rival.” It’s been great.

Another take that smells like bitch. I’m just glad to be playing y’all again. Your new friends will find out soon enough. This latest Aggie melt probably seemed epic to most SEC fans but will be the first of many for no other reason than UT’s very presence. Y’all can beat us 20 straight and you will still be the weird, strange school out of touch with most everything normal. It’s not UT’s fault either. How can you ever be the pride of a State as arrogant as Texas with male cheerleaders, a fake army, and creepy cult behavior?

Why is this rivalry so important

It is not Texas key rival

Feels like you want Aggie to miss you. Aggie was an almost attractive chick that likes you. Knowing you can have her you don't want because she's not attractive enough. Moment she moves on you miss attention.
