What exactly did he do though? Strong took the Louisville job before his first "retirement."

Foley was set to give Strong the job when Urban was "retiring" the first time. He assured Strong that he had the job to be the headcoach no matter what. Meyer was lobbying to Foley for Addazio to become the next headcoach. Foley said no Urban its gonna be Strong. For some reason this pissed Meyer off to the point of coming back to coach in 2010 so Strong wouldnt get the job. Strong was pissed that Foley didnt stand up for him and took the first job out of town. Therefore Strong has a trust issue with Foley.

Trust issues have a way of working themselves out if enough money is involved. If Foley and Machin want Steong they will pay to get him. No way Louisville can match what UF can offer.

This time next year Florida is either in the playoff or hiring a new coach, there isn't really in between-- Boom has no margin for error and frankly wasn't well liked by a large portion of the fanbase when he had the best regular season in the SEC last year. Florida fans barely tolerated Saban style football when it was working; have no real history with ball control run heavy teams; and can't tolerate someone who has any many losses to UGA in 3 seasons as Meyer, Zook and the OBC did in 20. Muschamp at Florida= Rich Rod at Michigan- a bad fit in the best of circumstances.

Honestly, given how consistently good Florida was prior to Boom, you could make an argument that he's the worst hire by a big 6 school since we started playing championship games.

I don't believe that for a second. A good bowl game next year will allow Boom to keep his job ... now, two years from now, three even, yes, I'd agree.
