I remember in 2001 when LSU played at Alabama for their homecoming. I think Rohan Davey just completed another pass.

Didn't Josh Reed break some records in that game too?

When the East-West division forced rivalry becomes a true rivalry. See ya in the fall, here's to some football!
LSU and UF played each other in 36 of the 39 years prior to 1992, when schools scheduled their own games. Wonder why the hell the SEC ever thought that might be a rivalry?

You're right. More like 48-6.

Because LSU has a winning record in Gainesville over the last 15 years?
We've played 7 times, you've won 4...HUGE advantage there.

K. Well, it never felt like a rivalry growing up (granted '90s-'00s). Just some good football games in the mid- to late-00's. But now it's a rivalry, no doubt.
So, I stand corrected: old rivalry flame rekindled.

Edit: Upvote. You are the first LSU fan I have ever seen admit that it was a rivalry prior to 1992. I have never seen a UF fan complain that it was not.

I mean considering it's y'alls home field us taking over 50% of those is actually pretty huge. Especially considering there have been some damn good gator teams in that time period.

All time UF, Leads 32-28-3
In Baton Rouge, UF leads 17-15
In Gainesville, UF leads 15-13-3
Still a big advantage?

Not in terms of the entirety of the series, but the statement was the last 15 years so we're talking about somewhat recent history into current time. It's not a hard concept to grasp. Recent history shows LSU has won more often than not in Gainesville.
