Yeah, until he made his snarky remark about UF's freshman qb having better numbers.

Aww did Dopey Dan get under your skin again? I don’t think Justin’s name came out of his mouth. How do you know who he was talking about?

Far cry from what Kirby told him. According to smart Fromm is a system QB who can’t move. Easily beaten out. It’s safe to say Kirby was wrong and the Fields now know he’s a liar too. shite will hit the fan eventually it always does when you base everything you’ve created on lies and hush money. Just have patience.

Hey I just heard there was an active shooter situation in Alpharetta, so anyone with the details? Hopefully, it is over and everyone is OK.

Sounds like it was a false alarm.

The all clear was given and from what I just read no weapon found. I'm sure it will change as information is brought out, though. Thanks for the heads up.

bet you were. Do I need to find the thread where you referred to your sources and refused to reveal any detail

I remember I still stand by every word. I’m still not going to reveal my source either. I’m no insider but I’m as close to the Fields situation as you can get. Like before take it for what you want. I can only tell you it’s far from garbage.

The quote is independent of the location where it was given. Essentially they were asking him *about the retreat* *while he was at a different event - held at Camp Sunshine*.

Here is an article about Camp Sunshine from back when Richt was still coach: LINK

So you're either Dan Mullen, Justin Fields or Kirby Smart. Got it.

lds was told the saem thing any and every other player is told, not just at UGA but at every big school. Work hard, do well, and you've got a chance. He didn't perform as well to unseat Fromm, he knew he wouldn't get that chance for a while, so he pouted and left. Taht's all there is to

But for some reason he came in the first place when it was obvious before he signed? Not a chance promises were made and that’s why he’s gone. Believe what you want though. It won’t be the last time. Liars lie and Kirby is a liar.

well you apparently live in FL so your info isn't 1st hand. So the only other "as close as you can get" in this situation is either fields or one of field's parents, as they are the ones in the room during a recruiting pitch. So at best your info is 2nd hand, or if I suspect more realistically you have it 3rd or worse hand. I imagine you know someone that goes to or works at Field's HS and they heard from someone who also heard form someone something fields said about one of his visits.

Lives in Pensacola, but is "as close to the Fields situation as you can get"...

Ultimately, where is the lie in saying that Jake Fromm is not a mobile QB and operates well within the confines of the system in front of him. He's a *VERY GOOD* game manager, but no one is putting him in the "take over a game" mold yet. Easy is subjective. The old saying is "everything's easy if you know how to do it".

Fields was correct to leave once he realized he wasn't surpassing Fromm, but that's on him and his development more than anyone else. He was given plenty of advice to NOT come to Athens (including Elite 11 "QB guru" Trent Dilfer), and he did so anyways.

I'm calling bullshite. After he committed I spoke with Pablo and he said he and Justin feel like he can come in right away and beat both qbs out after watching the spring game.

Nah just being facetious he was talking about Justin. Mullen didn’t appreciate the lies coming from Kirby in that recruitment. Come to find out neither did the Fields.

Spring, as in spring practice. Do you happen to know that that is false? How do you know Fields didn't get reps wiht the 1s in spring practice and didn't look as good as Fromm?

Kirby promised to change the offense

Anyone who thinks that a coach would promise to completely overhaul an offense in 1 offseason for a recruit is delusional. You don't know what "change the offense" means since you weren't in those conversations, you're simply passing on unreliable info or speculating. "Changing the offense" could simply mean running more RPO plays than we did in '17, which as I recall we ran quite a bit off, especially when fields was in the game.

I don't know what Kirby and Chaney told Eason, Fromm, and Fields but it worked to get them to sign.

2 of 3 are no longer at UGA but a team can start only one QB.

Fields just wasn't ready for prime time. We'll see if he is ready this Fall. The previously mentioned series I brought up vs. AU was the proof. He could have easily thrown the ball away and settled for a FG....but no, he did what every QB is told not to do in that situation: Took a sack. His decision-making skills left a lot to be desired.
