The way they act, the way they dress, the coordinated "yells", the hand motions, the pep rallies. It's all just extremely different than the culture of the SEC.

I really didn't think much of them at the Cotton Bowl last year.

Do yell leaders have to have that haircut or what? In fact, it seems like most Aggies in general have it.

Without looking it up, what % of A&M students do you think are in the Corps?

enough to represent your school? that's all everyone knows of you guys, so no matter how small the %; it's enough.

I don't know, but there are about 1,500-2,000 students in the corps.

The Yells leaders and corps ARE A&M. Whether you like it or not. Perception is reality.

^The pig wins.

Stick to the dead dogs/whoop/football history smack. When you make fun of the 4% of the student population that our student body already makes fun of internally it makes it seem like you're grasping at straws. You have better smack targets. I expected better.

Aggies always say everyone hates the Yell leaders/Corps. Why doesn't student gov't vote to dissolve them if they're so unpopular and no one likes the image they portray?

It's always the small minority that projects the outward image of the majority. There's not a damn thing you can do to change that.

A&M is HUGE on tradition, hence why things are rarely if ever changed. A&M is "TAMC" in all of the yells for Texas A&M College, the name up until 1963.

I agree which kind of sucks. The corps make up less than two percent of the student body I believe, but because every camera man has a hard on for showing them during the game many people believe it is much more or that we actually like them. The corps will never go away, and the same with the yell leaders due to tradition.

I am however hoping that with our move to the SEC we can add some cheerleaders along side our yell leaders. I'm also hoping we can disband the corps block in the stadium and let them pull tickets like regular students to more accurately portray our student body.

Well you will have to give up a few thousand more seats than you currently do for visitors if I remember correctly.
