First off, its not just the "team I root for"; its my alma mater.
Second, its also the alma mater of both my parents, so odds are I was at a game before the age of 4 because they were season ticket holders my whole life.
The first one I remember clearly was a snowy game vs Texas A&M in Fayetteville sometime in the mid to late 80s. I don't remember who won, but I remember it being bitterly cold and that we watched the 4th quarter in the lobby of a dorm with a fireplace.

Around 1956 LSU vs. TA&M. My Dad was an LSU prof and we got SEASON tickets (6 games) for 6 dollars (a buck per game).

1952, and I don't recall who LSU played. I knew nothing about football, but I was in the kid's polio ward of BR General hospital, and they let us watch the game on the sideline. Next game was as season ticket holder for the 1958 NC season.
BTW, I was incredibly blessed to have fully recovered from polio. Most of the other kids in the ward were crippled or didn't survive.

1973 LSU/Bama We stayed in the same motel as the Tide. They actually were pretty cool to us. We lost to UA 21-7!

The first Bama game I went to was 99' against Houston at Legion Feild.
I used to live in TN and I have some buddies who are die hard UT fans so the first game I ever went to was with them against Arkansas in 98'

LSU vs TCU, 1959. LSU was ranked #1 and the horny toads were #9. LSU won 7 to 0. Don't remember much but the goal line stand that saved the game. I was 8 years old.
