Condolences. Joe Dean was a gentleman who had more friends than most people even know. While I've been a critic of his tenure as A.D., there's no doubt of his deep love of LSU and the great person he was.

re: Josh Booty to Mobile Baybears

The article said nothing about Booty going to Mobile Baybears. He's not on their roster. Where did you come up with that?
Technically, I guess the south end zone has an upper deck. Does anyone know its history? Was it built as an upper deck whenever the south end was enclosed, and if so, why was it built as two levels rather than one, ala the north end zone? When was the south end zone built?

How many SEC teams could beat ND?

I'd say Georgia, UF, A&M and of course Bama. Yet AP and coaches poll still have ND ahead of all of them. Also, with really good games, perhaps SC too. LSU only if the offense played over their heads oerfect game.
Unfortunately, since he's played three years already, he probably is near the top of his learning curve. And as others have said, he has a problem throwing the ball consistently accurate. Plus he has no mobility.

His interviews quote him as saying he is going to improve, but sounds hollow to me. Hate to sound negative, but it's hard to be optimistic after watching him all year. Before last season I posted that people were way too premature in predicting magical improvements in the passing game. Mettenberger hadn't played a down for LSU and he had the nickname Mettsiah??

But the fact that this guy holds Trooper Taylor in such high regard makes me question his motives, judgement, etc.

Agree 100%. The kid is quoted as saying he'll go wherever TTaylor is hired. I'm sure it must Taylor's charisma. Yeah, right.
Sounds like Foster thinks whatever TTaylor was offering/supplying just goes with him. LOL. Makes me wonder how and why this guy ends up moving to Auburn. 99+% of us don't up and move without a really strong incentive. I hope NCAA is taking note.

Miles should be 110% certain that the kid's recruitment is above reproach as far as LSU's involvement. But I don't think it's worth the risk.

YOU have? A schizo with 22 personalities.

Okay, I get it. Clemson fans are Bama fans in disguise. You know, they live vicariously through a football team and equate their own success with that team. It's delusional. They always say WE when they mean them (the team). They don't have anything to do with the team, but they don't realize it.

So, yeah it's going to be easy to hate them. Just think of Bama rednecks in orange.

Easy- don't read it, jackass. There, it's stopped.

yeah St. Aug has some big dudes up front, it will be interesting to see if any pop up on LSU's radar. We could use a few more Trai Turners (and hopefully Jonah Austins, in time)

Agree 100%

LF is tremendous runner, no doubt, but a lot of credit must go to his blockers too. Watching the highlights, I was really impressed with the holes they were opening up most of the night. Of course, when the holes didn't open, LF just bounces outside, fakes and gets the long runs on his own.
You're right that White Graves was one of the 100 yd. interceptions. I was at the game, but can't recall which year. I remember that he was so gassed at the end that he barely made it.
It should be pretty obvious. It's not negative feelings about LSU-- they are deserving of a high ranking. It's that Bama, as much as I hate the gumps and the chief gump Saban, is incredibly strong this year. I dare say they could beat any of The Bear's teams by a big margin.

I do feel LSU can win, but it will require Bama taking LSU lightly, LSU playing way better on offense than any previous game, and getting points from the defense or special teams. And LSU fans will have to be as loud as ever have and into it for 60 minutes. I will do my share, btw.

I've gone to a number of games at Auburn and at UF. I agree Auburn crowd is louder, no doubt. UF fans are more arrogant but that does not equate with louder.

Agree 100%. I always felt that Stud was a poor OL coach. Now he's two terrible coaches rolled into one. And Miles' over-control is assuring what we see every week.

I still like Miles and he is the most successful LSU coach ever. Let's not forget that. However, if he keeps on this track, this will be a disaster of a season. Miles seems to get problems straightened out eventually- maybe that's his strong suit. Hope it happens this week.
You guys are really such losers, and you probably don't even know it. Attack away, it's all you know how to do, obviously. At the end of your lives, all you will be able to claim is that you posted 50,000 meaningless times on some free internet spot.
Do you guys actually have jobs? I accidentally hit enter before I wrote anything, and you even attacked a blank page. You might want to consider a 12 step program.
I don't spend much time here, so somebody has probably addressed this. (Hit the Return to Board if so) Does Rivals only rank Tim Williams #1 Louisiana player because they believe Bama has him? And does Saban want him primarily to rub Miles nose in it, because Williams plays high school at a hign school on LSU's campus with LSU student teachers? It sounds like something the little traitor would try to do.

How good is Williams really? Is he helped by the small school situation (big fish in little pond) or is he the real deal? Honest question- I don't know, but this Bama thing makes me wonder if it isn't more about recruiting bravado.

I still think that if he were ever put on the special team defending field goal attempts, on the edge, he would be there about the same time as the holder catches the ball. Would have been super to see.
Didn't read all the responses to OP, but one thing the first-pagers failed to note: If LSU actually signed the ones that were at the top of their board, they would rank much higher. True that the staff does a good job of development, and LSU has good talent despite losing out on a number of recruits they wanted, but to deny that LSU could do better- and at same time have a higher recruiting ranking- is major denial. Let's see if the remaining top La. players stay at home this year (or if LSU signs those who are better than them.)
