Interesting that Schad said his source that said Cam stated "the money was too much" has been interviewed by the NCAA.

ETA: I would love to know more about that alleged conversation and how that comment was explained or said in full context.

Shane is a wingnut, but today does show that Finebaum has friends that he will protect at all costs, such as Slive. Finebaum's integrity can be bought.

Schad broke the story. At this point he has an agenda not to look like a dumbass after all he has written.

His butt hurts so bad, he is almost in tears and is trying to latch onto any hope that is left.

Dunno. I've only listened to the show 5-6 times in the last 3-4 years.

He was pissed though. Typical butthurt gump that is borderline retarded is about all I could tell.

Wasn't Cam being reinstated based upon information provided by AU? The reinstatement guys don't have investigators..Maybe the "money was too much" guy spoke to the Infraction wing..

Finebaum seems convinced it was Ms. Mullen.

He should be. He was on AU's BOT for sixteen years.

He said that this source had NOT yet spoken to the NCAA, and he wants to see this followed up on.

He said his other source (the one about Cecil) had been interviewed, and he's been proven correct, so he wants vindication for the other source who had not been interviewed yet.

If his "money was too much" person is vetted and found to be convincing...wow.

That's what I thought I heard too. He said no one had disputed his report also.

Herbie is on.

That is not what I understood him to say, but you could be right. I am trying to work, post and listen, so I could easily have mis-understood.

If the "money was too much" person was interviewed, what would the outcome be? Simply seeking your thoughts...

Highly unlikely, IMHO. While it very possibly happened, I doubt either Megan Mullen or John Hevesy are in the habit of routinely recording phone calls.

No proof, no further action.

Who would have thought that E. Ramsey would have taped his conversations?

Not sure. That is why I am interested, because that is the one report that directly implicates Cam. It could mean that Schad embellished or that the statement was made in a different context than what it was reported. Or, it could mean that the NCAA thinks they need more corroborating evidence before they do anything with that statement. Obviously, the NCAA is aware of the report, so I know they would want to talk to that person if they can be identified.

Herbie talking about how awkward the Heisman ceremony will be with Cecil Newton there.

That will be awkward. I bet he doesn't get interviewed.

Do you think Slive told him at lunch today what he could and could not say on the air?
F-baum seemed awful defensive.
