I think Dabo may not be the genius Xs and Os guy like other top tier coaches. But he is one of the best in the country when it comes to building a program, running a program, and recruiting.

meh, part of being a fan. They won a national championship. They reached the pinnacle of the sport, the dream that every fan has. Let a fan be fanatic.

Urban, little Nikki, and Jimbo are the coaches people always put in that top tier. He's played Urban twice, played little Nikki twice, and gets to play Jimbo every year, so hopefully the results will keep speaking for themself

All true, but there is another side to that. He did lose to Spurrier far to many times with better teams as well as give up 70 points to West Virginia in a very high profile game. There are many many more examples, but he has done a very good job in his assistant hires as of late.

They will still be good this year, but I doubt they'll be national title good.

Gamecocks have never been accused of being Smart. As for your thread creation, yes Ole Pawly laid into a fan, a gamehen latches onto it as if it came down from Moses on high

As to your other ignorant comments, please provide proof of your claim as to a Clemson commit making more money than ever. Otherwise you're atypical gamecock holding onto the SEC's coat tails and making up sh!t to fit your deranged narrative.

Second while comparing Dabo to Freeze, you seem to forget that this same Lil Pawly that you used to start your thread had been on Freeze cheating for 3 years now, while at the same time claiming Dabo to be running the cleanest program in the nation.

you are wrong. Just because a game is close does not mean there isn't an arse whipping going on. Ask bama coaches if they didn't get their tails whipped. They lost every facet of that game besides rushing. That's it. Clemson did whatever they wanted. They didn't win every quarter and that matters ZERO percent. Clemson whipped that bama defense and they broke. Just because it took them all game to get it done doesn't take away from their victory. Bama doesn't die easy. Championship program and mentality. They got beat. They didn't give it away or beat themselves. They got beat. I'm not trying to take shots at a program that has owned us the last few years but that's what happened. You could make the argument that bama is very fortunate to have beaten them 1 out of 2 tries. Two very good teams. I think if they play 10 times, they split them. The biggest obstacle playing bama is not losing before you even kick off. Clemson had zero fear of bama in both those games. Bama is great. Sabah is great. We get it. They still got their tail whipped. Deal with it. There's a new season right around the corner.

Can't change the past, all those things were very ugly and sucked at the time. Especially that Orange Bowl, WV ran theTavan Austin jet sweep over and over and we made no adjustments. But Dabo refuses to settle, as soon as that happened he fired Kevin Steele and got Venables. Lost to Spurrier 5 in a row and has now beat Scar 3 in a row, one of those times with a QB with a torn ACL. And most recently, shut out the Buckeyes in a game that no one predicted them to win, on a bigger stage than the Orange Bowl with much higher implications. Past won't change, but he's making sure it doesn't happen again.

This game was by far, and I mean by far the most impressive of his career, IMO.

Clemson fans should quit acting like they won the national title or something. They are so dumb

Its hard to say that the national championship wasn't, but I pretty much agree. Venables had the defense ready to run through a wall after they sat around for weeks listening to how good the Urban Meyer offense was gonna be. The year before against Oklahoma in the playoffs was one of my personal favorites, just because of the way Baker Mayfield was abused and how much trash they talked leading in to that game.

Btw, I was at the UGA UNC game in Atlanta last year. I hope 27 stays healthy for y'all, he was fun to watch.

Thanks, we do too. Maybe we can win more than 8 games this year.

I didn't think Clemson would have any problem with Oklahoma, they are the most over-rated program of all time. It was definitely awesome to watch them bitch slap Baker Mayfield around. OU was definitely the reflection of their coach that season, he ran his mouth about as much as the team did.

What does that mean? FSU and Clemson shouldn't be lumped in with SC, UK, Vandy, Miss, MSU, Mizzou, Arky, Tenn and A&M.

Why do so many Seminoles end up at JC?

Y'all should have beat UT, Vandy (a sweep on 4th down that wasn't to Chubb???), and Tech. I think y'all will be ok as long as the OC remembers who 1 and 27 are. And if Eason remembers to look for his check downs

Well, we can agree to disagree about Dabo's on-field coaching ability. I would posit that his 89-28 record speaks for itself. But as Dabo is fond of saying, "X's & O's always work better with bigger Jimmies & faster Joes".
