To the Auburn people: You guys have bigger issues than this to deal with. Y'all have lost trash talking rights until you can at least get to .500 in the conference again. Come back when you are relevant.

squeal. I will say that Alabama caught a break, something that you Tide people have capitalized on the last 2 years. That is what champions do...someone makes a mistake and champions find a way to make things work for them. But in the last 2 years, God has been an Alabama fan, no question.
well damn you are no fun

Oh grow up. I was making a funny out of your lousy season last year.
You Auburn guys want to talk, then since we covered Alabama's luck, let's deal with Auburn's luck.
An NCAA that slammed Ohio State over tattoos and USC over financial dealing between the Bush family and an agent that had nothing to do with the university, and just flat out ignored any sensible due process when it came to Penn State, looked at Cam Newton and said, "Well, since it was only your people and not you that asked for a few hundred thousand dollars, and since Mississippi State turned down the oppurtunity to pay, ehh, you're clear"
Now, I'm an equal oppurtunity kind of guy. LSU is just as guilty on the luck front. We won our last title with 2 friggin losses. 2 losses. 2 bad losses. When The Hat said that they were undefeated in regulation, I cringed.
My point..all this conspiracy nonsense is nonsense. Luck happens in college football. Alabama has just had a greater share of it.
The SEC did not rig the bridge schedule. Was the logic for choising of opponents for Bama and LSU different than for the other schools. Seems to me like it was. Was this sinister? No way. The SEC is a group of professionals and I respect them. I think the schedule guys just made a mistake, and once they announce the schedule, its too late to fix it.
Forgot to add another moment of Luck for the Tide last year...LSU deciding that the game against Alabama was over after 58 minutes. The Tide knew it was a 60 minute game and capitalized. Again, Alabama was presented with a lucky break and turned a loss into a win. That is what champions do.

Well, it's in quotes so it's clearly a quote. Can you send me the link?

Yeah, that's pretty much how the NCAA's report read...

Dude, an NCAA that was slamming people left and right for nothing gave Cam Newton, a guy who had left Florida over a criminal incident, the benefit of the doubt. This same NCAA that we have since learned has trampled all over Miami's rights in the Shapiro investigation gave Cam Newton the benefit of the doubt. When does the NCAA give anyone the benefit of the doubt?
I do not care how you slice that...Auburn got lucky.

I don't think that has anything to do with what you quoted. I'd just like to see it, that's all. I never read it, I just figured they'd be mroe eloquent and not sound, how can I say this, dumb?

So, you are claiming that Gainesville Police did not confront Cam Newton with a stolen laptop, and Cam did not subsequently throw said loptop out of the window in an effort to destroy evidence, which led to Cam and the University of Florida mutually agreeing to part ways which led to his going to Auburn after a stint in JC.
None of that happened? He just left Florida for the hell of it because a 6'6 quarterback with a cannon arm and mobility unseen in the history of college football for a guy his size just couldn't find a fit in the Urban Meyer spread option offense.

butthurt LSU fans cannot call Bama's championships lucky until they realize how lucky they are to be the only 2-loss BCS champ
Breaking news LSU fans....every fricking championship run requires a bit of luck to go a teams way

What does that have to do with the NCAA? Nothing. You really don't know what you're talking about do you?

This is the same team that lays down for inferior opponents like Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Auburn, yet finds a way to luck up and defeat them after all. I hope they use the same "mulligan" logic if (and that's a big if) the Saints are forced to replay a team they lost to in the Super Bowl.
But at the end of the day, Florida (the mighty team that Alabama has defeated by double digits in all but one season since 2009 and was also arse-raped by LOUISVILLE and nearly lost to Bowling Green) is to blame for LSU refusing to show up against teams they should mop the floor with.
The Swamp Creatures never cried when nearly half of Alabama's opponents had a bye prior to playing them. They never cried when UT was a powerhouse, stomping Bama into the dirt every year. They never cried in 2004 when one single bullshite play cost Alabama a victory in Tiguh Stadium (LSU defender knocked a Bama receiver to the ground in the endzone, intercepting the ball and returning it to midfield). I've yet to hear them whine about Alabama receiving stiffer NCAA penalties over the ridiculous textbook case than their penalty for a COACH paying a player to TRANSFER THERE!
Let the little girls continue to bitch. If there's one thing I've noticed about LSU fans, whether they lose by 1 or 30, there's always an excuse. Never mind the fact that they struggle with almost every inferior SEC team they play. Never mind the fact that Alabama has had no problems with Florida the last five years. It's not the schedule's fault or Alabama's fault, perhaps it's the coaching?
