I think the QB situation is the only thing keeping Bama from a national championship. I'll support either guy, and throw something at my TV -- no matter who's on it. But the starter will be McCarron.

McCarron played farily well in mop-up duty, however, we'll just have to see how he plays with the game on the line against an Arkansas, UF, or LSU.

It's pointing the wrong direction. Right is right, left is unfulfilling.

My personal take is that you should never be afraid to put in the back-up if the starter is having a bad day...as long as you actually DO have the confidence in the back-up that you claim to. If the back up is clearly not ready, then ride the starter, but with the way Saban has touted both QBs, I'd expect the back-up to get the job done if called on.

What kills me about this is that we never think twice if the starting guard or defensive linemen is replaced when he's struggling, but everyone flips the frick out and acts like its a sea change if its the QB.

Agreed. How anyone can have a favorite at this point is beyond me.

Defensive lineman and guards don't take the scrutiny or are in the limelight like QBs. Nor due they play anywhere near the role as a leader for the rest of the team. I think most QBs respond better from a staff that continues to show confidence in them. Rather than those that pull them on a bad day.

I'll support the guy in the crimson jersey. I prefer the one that hands the ball off real well and don't throw interceptions.

I've always pretty much just accepted who the staff puts on the field.

I figure the coaches get paid the money and the players bust their asses for PT so who am I to think I know better.

Even when Gullion and Pennington were taking snaps I just sacrificed another lamb and prayed for them to do well.

You know how we are. The #2 guy will be hailed the next coming regardless of who ends up #1 or how long it takes to get there.

I like the fact we actually have a 1a and a 1b that are closely matched talent wise. The problem is we have to ride 1a (and I don't give a shite who that is) thru some choppy water when it comes. Remember in the 2009 opener against Va Tech Gmac looked like shite in the first half but helped win the game in the second half. Whoever is given the reigns, let them have it until something obvious becomes a problem

Yes. I will support them. Sims and McCarron actually have talent which is more than what I can say for the red-headed doofus.
