FBI complicit in the NCAA/SEC conspiracy to let AU off the hook?

If it's true that NCAA/SEC is conspiring to keep AU/Cam on the field for money purposes, you might want to throw the FBI into the conspiracy too.
Hear me out, no flame. I've been listening to Finebaum for years. I know he likes to stir the pot. I can tell when he knows something but isnt saying it. But he's stated several times matter of factly that this this investigation by the NCAA/FBI isnt as deep as people think/hope it is.
Schlabach, one of the leading reporters on this story, questioned the involvement of the FBI in an interview last week.
As of yesterday, Kenny Rogers attorney said that not only has Kenny Rogers not talked to the FBI, but they haven't even requested to speak with him. He also said he doesn't expect his client to be interviewed anymore by any additional law enforcement agencies.
As of a week and a half ago, Cecil's lawyer said the same thing.
Now these are the two most important figures in this fiasco. You'd think these two would be the first two the FBI would've wanted to talk to.
Anybody who knows anything about criminal investigations knows that law enforcement likes to talk to the main suspects ASAP to lock them into a story they cant change later on.
I'm having a hard time believing the FBI is so deep into this as everyone thinks, but six weeks into the investigation that haven't even requested to speak with the two main figures in this story.

They are so far from the two main figures in this story that we will forget who they are.

Me thinks the FBI realised that Kenny Rogers is like #70 on the list of people who they need to be talking to

The FBI isnt in the investigation to put AU on probation. Therefore Cecil and Cam and Rodgers probably arent all that important to any investigation they are doing. They will be going after the booster types who are throwing the money around etc. imo.

That's fair. But would the explanation be for them not requesting an interview with the person who allegedly received a 200k payoff for his son?

If that's the case, dont you think Cecil would've been a good source if they were trying to find out which boosters are throwing around money?
I cant think of a better person to speak with than Cecil

Youre prob right, and maybe they will get to Cecil. I was just pointing out who I would expect them to go after.

I just don't think the pay-for-play is the focus of their investigation, but something links this to their existing investigation. I just think its a big guy/ little guy thing, at present. Might take years to unfold.

The FBI does not give shite about AU, football in general, or any decision that the SEC / NCAA decide to screw up. I believe that this whole Cam Newton thing came out sideways while a totally different invetigation was happening in Alabama by the FBI. The FBI will not play a roll in the final decision on the Cam Newton case as far as the NCAA / SEC are concerned. On the other hand, the Cam Newton case may end up being a very sad part of the final write-up in whatever the FBI is actually working on in Alabama.

help me understand why they would interview John Bond who has no affiliation with AU

Yep, Im fully aware of the scumbag politicians in Alabama taking payoffs under the table.
I'm just not sure what John bond, a MSU booster, has to do with it.
JMO though

Actually Ross I think it makes perfect sense. Not thinking the OP is flaming at all and I hope you don't either, but hear ME out on this. All along, I've said this is so much more than a Cam Newton Story. Well, honestly, the FBI could care less about Kenny Rodgers. This thing is so much larger.
And PFinebleaux does know something, and unfortunately the arrows are suddenly starting to point to a couple of his good friends. Rumblings started on here about a week ago. I find it curious he starts to bash TD - he's a nationally syndicated program. Why should he give a shite? It's because the info was probable dead on and it hit a nerve.
Multiple media sources are saying the lid is getting ready to blow off of this thing.....
Just sitting back and watching how it all plays out..

He's #71. They are looking for where the money is coming from, THAT is the reason they are involved. They could care less about athletes being shopped. Their main interest in this is who is doing the paying and where is that money coming from

This isn't a hard logic, or maybe it is for you.
But if they're trying to find out who paid Cecil, why NOT interview Cecil?

The state of Miss. is doing the dirty work for now. The FBI will get involved when necessary as it relates to Rogers. The Boogs need to worry about other things.

IMO, if that was the case, Cecil would be a good source of where the money is coming from if he got paid 200k
Cecil's door would've been the first door I knocked on if i were an investigator
