I really wish LSU played Arkansas in Fayetteville. I have always heard it is really nice and picturesque. War Memorial in Little Rock is a dump.
True. Wish we could get you guys up there too. I think you'd like it.
For football, outside of Fayetteville, the best places to watch a game - not just stadium quality but overall atmosphere, the ones I have visited go like this:
1. LSU - Love the people and tailgating. Stadium is sub-par, but the gameday experience more than makes up for it. Golden Girls could make War Memorial look nice.
2. Neyland - The size is impressive. The band playing the visitors' fight song in pregame is a nice touch. Loss of points for (a) being the home of the vols; (b) all that fugly orange; (c) endless playing of rocky top. Oh, and that stupid "smoky is on the prowl" thing they do over the loud speakers. The cock crowing at South Carolina isn't that ghey.
3. Old Miss - I would not have them third if I had attended games at other places. I can't imagine how a place could be any worse. After decades of playing football in that town, Oxford's finest still haven't figured out how to route traffic into that town without creating the Mother of all Clusterf**ks. They have one single-file line to get into the one open gate in the visitors end zone. When you finally get in, you need to be wearing a poncho - regardless of the weather - because the people above are spilling their drinks and food. You literally stand in a shite-shower when trying to order food and hope someone's garbage from above doesn't fall onto your luke-warm papa-john's re-heated pizza-like substance on a plate. The stadium itself is unimpressive. I have seen a half dozen nicer high school ones in and around the Dallas area.
I would like to go to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and see a game at the swamp. Just haven't figured out how to do that in a way so as to not have to (a) be around their fans; and (b) see the FU gators play.
I would like to see a game at Bryant Denney.
I want to do a game at UGA between the hedges. I like Athens.
The rest, I could take 'em or leave 'em.
The only basketball venues I have ever seen an SEC game outside of Arkansas are Thompson Boling and the Sad Pad. Thompson Boling is big. Their sky boxes look weird. Their basketball fans are especially knowledgeable.
And the Sad Pad is beyond words. I've never seen a more dilapidated building in my life - and I used to attend games at Barton Coliseum on the fairgrounds in LR. Narrow concrete stairs leading to the Men's room/piss trough. Hand rails falling off the wall and just laying in the middle of the stairs. Poor lighting. Just not that impressive.

Nah. Just superior and have a low tolerance for sub-human bandwagon riding frontrunners who act like dicks.

KY and State have the nicest fans.
Tenn and UGA have the best college towns.
Flor has the best stadium atmosphere.
Overall, I'd have to say Bama.

Outside the SEC, I'd have to say Texas. Their fans only rival Bama for the most arrogant but they have a lot to be arrogant about. I like they way they represent on gameday.

Gainsville is the the trashiest of all the SEC towns, it feels like I'm on thee set of COPS.
All the jorts... it's too much denim. They do have the worst fans also. I've seen fights for no reason and several of their fans throw beers and drinks on other teams fans. It's not worth the hassel to go there.
Athens has terrible fans also, but thier atmosphere is a lot better and the town and stadium are remarkable.
Knoxville isn't bad. Stadium is crazy big and it's built to keep the noise in, I nearly went deaf in there.
Baton Rouge is fun.

Football: Alabama
Basketball: MSU
Baseball: MSU
I've only been to the Alabama, Ole Miss, Vandy, and Auburn football stadiums and Alabama is the best out of those easily.
I have only been to the Sad Pad and Alabama. Haven't had any time to travel to basketball away games.
Next year, I am going to The Swamp and Death Valley.

I always enjoy trips to Auburn, made that trip more than any other. Like Georgia, until they started dumping visitors on the new upper deck. Tennessee is a good trip, but I find their fans a little tame. Bama's an OK trip, but Tuscaloosa leaves much to be desired, and their campus is kinda crappy. We had a great trip to Washington this year...

Auburn
LSU
Alabama
State/Ole Miss
Little Rock
Kentucky
Out of conference, Texas A&M. I liked it better than the SEC ones I have been too. Home of the 12th man. But it was against Texas so it was pretty big.

I've always thought that A&M stadium looked cool, would like to see it in person one day

I grew up going to thanksgiving right down the street. So every other year I had to sit outside and listen to the noise. Eventually I had to say screw yall, I'm going to the game.

I've been to a few games there. They have, IMO, the best student participation of anyone in the country. They are all (even the girls) pretty into the games. They have to be. If they aren't, they'll miss out on some "yell" and be accosted. I almost got my arse beat for not taking my hat off within 3 seconds of some "yell" I had never seen/heard before. But overall, the stadium itself isn't all that nice. At least on the student side. No idea about the "alumni" side. I know they're jumbotron used to be pretty embarrassing up until recently and I think it was upgraded to at least be COLOR.
