Bo Jackson. Imagine if he wasn't 50 pounds heavier than Jeff Demps and OMAC. You could watch his old highlights, games, etc... and tell his sub 4.2 was legitimate. He ran away from everybody when he wanted to. Onterio McCalebb is also pretty dang fast. He just falls down everytime the wind blows. I'd also like to see what Trent Richardson runs when he gets to the combine this year. I'm thinking it is a sub 4.4 or somewhere close. He's a freak too, considering he's nearly 230.
Good points.
-McCalebb actually won the Florida 1A 100m and 200m in high school.
-Trent finished 5th at the Florida 3A 100m finals. Jeff Demps was 1st. Trent said he thought he could beat Demps as this was their 1st time racing...Said he was close for the 1st 40.....and then Demps changed gears and left everybody.
-I expect Trent and McCalleb to both run about 4.37-4.40 at the NFL Combine
- Knile Davis, if healthy is also a burner. He'll probably be in the 4.34-4.39 range IF healthy
- LaMichael James and Kenyon Barner are also guys that can run sub 4.4.
-TJ Graham WR for NC State is another burner that should run ~4.29-4.34

My kids are sprinters, daughter is top 5 in the state for 100m and 200m dash in the 7 & 8 year old age group. I do this as a "hobby" because I love track and I also run Master's events.
Coaching track is NOT my career....but I do love coaching my kids.

Incorrect. How many times do we have to go over this?
How many years have they been doing electronic timing at the combine?
If sub 4-2 40s were legitimate, somebody would have done it by now.

If Usain Bolt ran the 40 at the Indy combine, what do you think he could get?
Depends on if he ran at the old RCA Dome or at Lucas Oil Field as Lucas Oil Field yields times ~.04 slower than the old RCA Dome. For example, if Jacoby Ford's 4.28 in 2010 had been run at the RCA Dome...he likely would have run 4.24.
I'd say Bolt is comparable to Jacoby Ford and Trindon Holliday at 40 yards. See the link of 2008 Olympic Finals where former LSU track star Richard Thompson actually leads Bolt at about the 40 yard mark. Go to the 27-28 second mark of the video to see their position at about 40 yards.

Richard Thompson was teammates with Holliday at LSU and they were comparable over the 1st 40 yards.
Bolt is LEAVING everybody after 40 yards though.

Willie Gault. But Demps does have some go-go juice in him!

Is there a 100M time for C.J. Spiller? He was faster than Jacoby Ford in pads IMO.
Also, if you watch the Demps video closely, you can see that he crosses the UF 15 yd line right as 5 secs changes to 6 and hits the UK 15 right as 12 changes to 13. So he ran those 70 yards (plus a little more for the diagonal) in exactly 7 seconds.

It doesn't appear that we actually disagree. Based on what you wrote above, you pretty clearly don't think Jackson would have run a sub 4.2 40, (even at the RCA dome) under electronic timing. Is that correct?
