If you took a hog helmet and a lsu helmet and showed them to someone who did not watch or know anything about college football there would be a better chance of them identifying the hog helmet.

How many teams use a tiger? There is only one hog.

I would hope they could at least say they mustard colored helmet belonged to a team that used the initials of L S and U, even if they thought it would out of order like OU and stoof for the University of Louisiana- Shreveport.

And back in the Jake Gibbs era, they had the lighter blue with numbers on the side. So much for traditions, I guess.
Just for the record though, I hated the uniforms during Sly's time there. They are better now but like I said earlier, I liked the unis back in the 80s much better (prior to Rocky's teams). I think he made some major changes that I didn't care for

I've always thought the LSU helmets were bad. The lettering of the "LSU" looks like it was put on with duct tape and the Tiger head looks like a purple chrysanthemum from more than 5 feet away.
