Taggart will be fired within 3 years. I can’t believe FSU hired a guy who has won more than 8 games in a year exactly once.

They did. Multiple times. It was talked about in the broadcast.

I don't doubt they did it. But, is FSU's offense really that fast? I just don't think the cheating is necessary.

Save that shite for a fast offense like say ... Bama's.

So what was Taggarts excuse for every other play of the game? I mean I guess when you get boat raced like that you gotta go with something but man.

This is the thing, okay: You're forcing defensive players to get tired in a sport that requires a lot of substitutions for packages. They're going to get tired, and if I'm a player I know tired players get injured more often than fresh ones -- so why not take a seat for a breather? Even better, why not take a seat after a big play to take away their momentum?

Sure it's dishonorable, but that's the price paid with the type of offense you run.

One of the commentators suggested that they start penalizing for that. But how could you prove that someone was faking an injury?? Stop the game, do and MRI, then throw the flag?

Not saying those offenses are dishonorable but are they really honorable? They're bending the rules of the game. Not saying any defense *should* do it but I don't feel bad for those type of offenses. I'm just glad it's dying out. Except in the Big 12. They have no choice. It's pretty much what a team does when they don't have the personnel to compete with the elite.

They're both kind of dishonorable, sitting down and the offense itself because you're putting the other team's players at a heightened risk of injury.

The defense has to 'react' and probably runs a lot more/expends more energy. In boxing, as an example, you can tire out an opposing boxer by simply making them follow you and think too much, mental exhaustion is a real thing.

So I mean, you run that type of offense to exploit the defense and tire them out, making them more susceptible to injuries. Players trying to stop you/protect themselves feign injury.

I think it's a good compromise, personally, and that a coach should be prepared for that.

But we all know Taggart is a whining little bitch arse snake of a coach who was woefully unprepared to play in a blackout night game at home against weak competition and is looking for any straw to grasp as an excuse for why his team looked like diggity dogshit.

I think it only happened one or two times. Maybe he should talk about how he went hurry up O at the goal line instead of letting the refs check the replay,

If you’re gonna bitch about something make sure you don’t look like an idiot.

Should the quarterback clear with the defense when they’re ready? Maybe the coach whose team is on defense could signal the all clear to the other coach. Or maybe institute a separate clock that clicks off the minimum amount between offensive plays. The idea that it’s just a Big 12 thing is absurd. Teams play with tempo across the country every week. Taggart is a “whining little bitch arse snake of a coach” yet you’re whining because the defense has to hurry up. Good grief.
