hould the quarterback clear with the defense when they’re ready? Maybe the coach whose team is on defense could signal the all clear to the other coach. Or maybe institute a separate clock that clicks off the minimum amount between offensive plays.

Or maybe you take the good with the bad while running that offense. You hurry them up, they get tired and sit down.

Retool your offense, because if anyone thinks they're going to start flagging for 'fake' injuries, schools will just do it in a more unnoticeable fashion.

Taggart is a “whining little bitch arse snake of a coach” yet you’re whining because the defense has to hurry up. Good grief.

No, I'm saying he's making up an excuse for his team to look like shite and I'm saying if they're stupid enough to believe that a defense will purposely tire themselves out because they don't want to be dishonorable when they can do something that doesn't negatively act on their team, then they have no business coaching.

It has nothing to do with being tough, it has to do with winning. You create an offense that exploits the defense, the defense uses a tactic that exploits the offense.

To think teams won't do it is bordering on retardation.

I know this was directed at someone else, so no problem and not a big disagreement on my end.

My biggest beef though is not the "hurry up" part but more of the blocking downfield which now that refs are throwing flags on have rendered this offense a lot more ineffective than it used to be.

Taggart claims Hokies faked injuries to slow down FSU

So? If your team is not taking every single advantage of the rules, then who is the chumps?

Taggart is legit.

Look at something other than his win loss record at rebuilding schools.

Good point. Since coaches are paid so much for things other than wins and losses. Smh

Even Baseball pitchers cant quick pitch. The game was not designed for offenses to line up supper fast to get the defense out of position or the wrong personnel on the field. However, offenses started using this as another offensive weapon. The rules allow and they use the rules. There is no rule about defensive players are not allowed to get injured on plays or even allowed to fake an injury. So until either of these rules change, deal with it!

The D has to deal with the offense choosing when to speed up, so the O can deal with the defense when they have an injury. Real or fake.

If they choose to penalize the D for injuries and make them take a time out or flag them, then when the Offense has injuries they should have to take that same TO or flag. Doesnt sound like fun huh??

The game was meant to be 11 on 11.

People who didn't watch the game don't even understand just how bad Florida State looked during that game. I encourage everyone to go watch it. Both teams were sloppy, but Florida State was on a whole other level of being outright unprepared.

Taggart will not be the coach in three years, this isn't USF/WKU that needed rebuilding, this was the best football team in our state for the past decade and he just got drug by a team that probably has less stars at every single position.

Taggart will be fired within 3 years. I can’t believe FSU hired a guy who has never won more than 8 games in a year.

The Ed O. of Florida?

No. Ed O bet his ranked opponent.

Smh. Look at his previous stops. Quit looking at the overall record.

You shite on Mullen but try to make a good argument about Taggart? He beat two ranked opponents in 8 years. In fact, his best year (10-2) at USF he only played 4 teams with winning records and went 2 - 2 against them. He only beat the teams by one possession, and against the two teams he lost to? 65 - 99.

I have way more stats, including his record breaking number of points surrendered to an FCS by an FBS if you want 'em.
