The SEC by law broken during the Cam Newton situation was clearly not applied while the NCAA went out of its way to find a loophole not to suspend him.

And this is precisely what will happen with Johnny Manziel. Manziel means ratings. Ratings mean money. The overlords of the NCAA (ABC/ESPN and CBS Sports) will make certain that the NCAA takes no action against Manziel.

Why now? This is a story that should have been released last spring. What would have caused the biggest disruption to the a&m program. My guess is if the bama game was in Nov. , it would have come out in late Oct.

So let me get this straight; you believe that ESPN held off on this huge of a story until right when summer practice starts in an attempt to help Bama beat TAMU?

You are claiming that ESPN had enough evidence to break the story in the spring but wanted to wait to inflict the most damage it could on TAMU with the intent of helping Bama?

This is all some conspiracy to give Bama an competitive advantage.

You are making bluefintuna AtPB type of conspiracy theories. Damn, you might want to tighten the tinfoil.

What's it like to live your life with so much paranoia over a college football program? Seriously. The entire NCAA is not set up to enable Alabama to win national championships. The sooner you accept that nobody is out to get Auburn (or you), the more of a chance you have to not be miserable.

Again, why now. This is not that complex of a story that could not be confirmed with three phone calls. Someone leaked it, maybe not espn, but someone with a vested interest.

I can't believe you brought Rece Davis into this. He goes out of his way to be impartial.

Umm because the witnesses only recently came forward, like the articles in the main thread say.

While, I'm sure they wanted to release the article when it would get the most pub/web-clicks ; it wasn't some crazy eyed ITAT conspiracy to help Bama, like you are implying.
