Wonder why you're ignoring the part about Jimbo's kid for some mysterious reason.

Wonder why you keep making excuses for Jimbo, which was kind of the point of this entire thread

Oh I'm moving the goal posts? Who is it that brought up the personal lives of a coach to excuse away underperforming? Was that me or you, I forgot?

Just because you're unable to crawfish further doesn't mean the goal posts have been moved. Jimbo's son is still alive btw and wasn't magically cured when he arrived in College Station. Why does his son's "fatal" illness no affecting him now? He was diagnosed with that illness in 2011, 3 years before he won a national title at FSU. But yes, let's blame that on why he went 5-6 in 2017.

I didn't realize LSU was Ole Miss. Ed Orgeron is 48-15 at LSU with a national title.

You "didn't realize" a lot of things.

Maybe Ed gets a bad rap, he could have just been distracted when he decided to hire Pellini without interviewing him.

And Joe Brady sure seems to get all the credit for the technical side, when we should consider Ed’s football acumen as well.

Has Orgeron ever spoken about X’s and O’s?

It's not my fault you don't even know what is being discussed.

Not our fault you think 6-6 is elite.

How am I moving the goal posts? Use whatever adjective you want to use to describe the programs. The point was always which jobs were better situations when each respective coach took over.

Do you know what moving the goal posts means?

You know exactly what I'm talking about. And if you really took such issue with calling FSU an elite program, then you're clearly more concerned arguing semantics instead of the very obvious point others have made in comparing the three programs when each took over

Jimbo didn't take over in the late 90's. He took over years after Bowden was past his prime. They had multiple 7-6 seasons and had dropped way down in the recruiting ranks before he became HC.

He had top recruiting classes while he was there and left them with talent.

Taggart came in after and the recruiting dropped to what it was before Jimbo, and the records dropped as well.

I'm not sure why LSU fans need to equate him to Coach O.

Good to know. So Saban deserves zero credit for anything that has occured at LSU since he left.

If you hired a guy who came in after and fricked it all up, that wouldn't be Saban's fault.

Think of how bad a coach you would have had to hire for that to happen. That is what FSU did.

Right, so, conversely, if you hire a guy who came in and did well, then it's not to Saban's credit either. Can't have it both ways. Either the previous coach has an effect on the next coach or he doesn't

Taggart literally has a final walkthrough of the hotel parking lot where the visiting team is staying and that's apparently Jimbo's fault.
