If UGA doesn't win the East, though, it would be a major disappointment. Kirby's seat will still be as cold as ice, but some serious rumblings would begin as to whether or not Kirby is Richt 2.0. Even if he is, though, Richt stayed at UGA for 15 years, so there is no threat to his job, imo.
Good point

He hasn't shown that he can develop that talent into a team that is consistently top 5.
Average final AP poll finish last 4 years is 5th, final CFP poll goes 3,5,5,9.

quote:You can't shite on the conferences they play in, talk about how hard the SEC is, then said this stupid shite. Smart lost to the eventual national champions in 2019 and 2020. Just like Day and Riley.
Both of these coaches have more playoff appearances than Kirby Smart.

Average is 5.5, so just outside the top 5. Also, looks like a downward trend

Florida won the WLOCP last year due to an anemic UGA offense
Georgia's offense didn't let Florida score 38 points in one half.
Nor the 571 total yards in the game. Mullen tore that defense up, just admit it.

When the offense can't stay on the field, that helps the other offense. Don't play stupid.

True, but don't act like Florida's offense last year wasn't straight-up lethal

If Georgia loses to Clemson, Florida, and Alabama this year, as well as not winning their division, does Smart's coaching seat start to warm up a little?
Smart has done relatively well as head coach at Georgia, but considering the talent he's had, it's fair to say he's underachieved. He isn't on the level of a Saban or Dabo, and hasn't even had the one magic season like an Orgeron.
I'm not sure who the Dawgs would get to replace Smart, but it's no secret that CFB is an offensive game right now, and Smart is a defensive minded coach who's been completely inconsistent on offense.
If Dan Mullen can get the upper hand on Smart, Georgia might start considering their options
Did your mother have any children who lived?
Kirby won the SEC and played for a NC in only his 2nd season as a HC. Took Saban 8 seasons to do it. As much as you hate it, Smart will be a force to be reckoned with for many years, long after Saban's gone. Better get used to the idea.

Richt 2.0

Then the average is 5.25 - almost a top 5 program. "Almost" kind of sums up Georgia football.

Not when viewed in a more detailed context.

Are you that bad at math? 2+7+4+7= 20. Divided by 4 = 5.

This isn’t true. 2017 and 2018 were no less than 5th in final playoff poll, and 2019 finished in top 5.

You cocksuckers have your fun now. Kirby is 20 years younger than Saban and we will beat Bama in the very near future. Once that happens the voodoo that's cursed us will be over....as well as Bama's reign of terror. If Saban coaches long enough we'll turn this into a 50/50 game....and once he leaves?? Good times!!

You may try to play dumb, but deep down you know Florida got lucky AF last year with covid and the injuries Uga had.

Try again. There are not 5 programs with a higher avg rank, which places uga in the top 5.
