I say no expansion. I like the conference just the way it is.

Arkansas fans don't get a vote, chief.

As long as TV networks are looking for content, I expect them to do everything they can to keep from losing (or seriously diluting) a conference like the Big XII.
If the current college landscape stays as is, then the SEC should stick to 12 members. You're at the summit of college football.
I would only expand in the event of a playoff system (less of a penalty for a harder conference and more of a chance to play the way into the playoffs) or the death penalty for a member.
Both are very unlikely IMHO.

As long as we're kicking your butts on a yearly basis, I say we do!

Arkansas beat LSU in 2009? hmm, news to me.

Oh, my bad. Three out of the last four years, but still good enough.

and how many national titles does Arkansas have in that span?

you guys were bound to make up for that 4-year drought you had against us. not to mention it's time to close the gap on LSU's 34-20-2 all-time record against the Pigs.

Nice sleight of hand there, buddy. If you can't win an argument, create a new one!

uhh, did you really think I was going to try to argue something as concrete as win-loss record over a 4-year span? throw something a little more subjective out there next time if you want to argue. I was simply pointing out facts. such as the fact that LSU > Arkansas in all major categories.

Do yourself a favor and stop fighting a losing battle ... bow down and kiss the signet ring of the commanding officer of THE FLAGSHIP!!! AND I'll tell you WHEN to get up!

Besides the fact that LSU>Arky, that's not what this is about.
It's about if the NCAA wanted to go to the 6 Super Conferences with 16 teams in each and drop all left over teams to FCS, who would you want out if the big12

Texas and Texas A&M. For TV and recruiting it'd be so well worth it!
West
Arkansas
Alabama
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Texas
Texas A&M
LSU
East
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
Do away with the permanent east-west division opponent and rotate 2 out-of-division opponents every two years. No additional SEC opponent is added to the schedule.
ETA: Forgot about the Iron Bowl. Ok, 1 permanent opponent and rotate 1? Bleah, this is giving me a headache.

First off, I am 100% against expanding the SEC. It is perfect as is. It would be like trying to enhance Michelangelo's David...But, if we were forced to expand, I would only like to add two more teams. I am completely against adding any Big 12/10 teams...especially any Texas schools. I would prefer to add two schools that are already in current SEC states. I would want Clemson and Florida State. If we couldn't get them, my next two choices would be Georgia Tech and North Carolina (I know it would be hard to get UNC to leave the ACC and Duke, but it would be worth a shot).

If a team went through this division and only lost once then they should automatically win the National Championship.

The Big 12 is now The Big Austin conference.
If I was Okie and/or A&M, I see no reason to stay to play clearly designated second banana to Texas.
If the SEC expands, I want it to expand to 16 with the addition of Okie, A&M, Va Tech and one academic softie (Tulane?).
Let Ga Tech (who left the SEC years ago) and F$U (who refused to join the SEC years ago) stew in their pathetic ACC juices.

All this does is make the conference more difficult without expanding the conferences footprint (for more/better TV coverage and better, more valuable TV contracts).
