Saban will have spread offenses banned within 3 years if he has to keep playing them

This thread went sideways on you, son.

So you're saying nobody will want to play defense in the pros. Makes sense.

No they won't.

Yep he is most def scared of them. Completely throws off his game plan.

The Ball coach disagrees. I guess you are saying Johnny Football is a system QB. Oregon gets stopped ever time they play a real Defense. If this was the case Big 12 and Pac 12 would be the top conferences.
Just because Oregon doesn't score 50 against good defenses doesn't mean the offensive philosophy is flawed.
As for the Big 12, OU won the MNC running Mike Leach's air raid in 2001. They haven't won it since. Oregon is the only "power" team running the spread in the PAC but they don't have top shelf defensive talent.

Leach ran the same offense at Kentucky in the early 00s. Then Tebow and Co. at Florida. But neither has made a sweeping change across the conference. And the conference has still been wildly successful.
So I don't see everyone running the spread within 7 years.

Not saying the thread is flawed. Just saying everyone won't be running it in 7 years.
Other offenses have been effective as well, in case you haven't noticed.

They set up in a shotgun 4-wide almost every play. That's the one back spread KLIFF Kingsbury learned from New England.

Oregon is FAR from anything close to "power". Barner weighs 190 lbs. and DeAnthony weighs 178.

It's like they discovered something we've known about for awhile.
You know like that little kid that gets all giddy that he found something new. But it's not really new. Just new to him.

They actually won the MNC with Mark Mangino as their OC.

This is more evidence that Alabama needs to save college football by winning a third national championship in four years with a pro-style offense.
What's Georgia run?

And how often do you think they say "johnny football" in any given day?
