At this rate, his recruits will be driving Hellcats. Or are those reserved for the returning Jr/Sr players?
I keep asking my son do you want a charger or do you want to be taking an uber like they do at lsu?

Not all kids come to a school because they want a Natty. We don't want those kids tbh.
Selling this to kids who do want it and a shot at an incredible payday plus the fact that they will live forever in the storied Bama lore sells itself.

Shortest Span to Win 6 National Titles in AP Poll Era:
1. BAMA. 12 YEARS. 2009-2020
2. BAMA. 19 YEARS. 1961-1979
3. BAMA. 26 YEARS. 1992-2017
4. ND. 31 YEARS. 1943-1973
It has been a heck of a run under Saban. Hard to fully appreciate all he has accomplished with this team in the moment.
His streak of wins VS unranked teams, Consecutive years ranked #1, top 10 finishes, recruiting success, titles, title appearances, and being a play or two away from other title/CCG appearances, having EVERY recruiting class over a 14 year period win at least one NC if they stay for 3 yrs in the most competitive era of CFB history, and much, much more is absolutely incredible.
I'll end the pat on the back there. But, CFB may never see such an extended period of consistency in terms of team success again. Pretty amazing.
Feel bad for whoever has to follow him. There is no way to meet the level of expectations.

But it's even more impressive over 18 years.

It was good the 18 class got this one. It wasn't a great class overall but there were some elite players like Surtain, Waddle, Barmore.

Imagine an NFL team getting 15 of the first 20 draft picks every year. That’s Bama football.
It’s a lot easier when you have the best players from every state.

The crazier stat is every recruiting class since 2000 that signed with saban has won a National championship.

That is a bit hyperbolic, but recruiting obviously feeds success.
Saban said as much to Moore when he was hired. Stated he didn't hire the best coach in America, but he did get the best recruiter.
Building and SUSTAINING the success he has through early departures and significant player/staff turnover each year is incredible.
I always find it funny when people discount the importance of recruiting in relation to success of a CFB coach. It is quite literally one of their main jobs. Recruiting year round, managing rosters and player attitudes to build a winning team culture that absorbs personnel losses year to year without losing too much ground.
If it were easy, everyone would do it. Saban simply does it better than anyone else.

All those top classes, you'd think they'd never lose a game.
Pretty easy to see why they're successful, talent trumps everything else.
Makes Saban look better than he is, sort of like Bear signing 100+ kids yearly.

were recruited and signed by Saban and staff. Recruiting is a huge part of CFB. Saban places appropriate emphasis on recruiting because he knows it's a huge part of the game. Part of what makes him the GOAT, not something to be used to argue against his greatness.

Isn't that what I said?
His gift is signing the best, not so much "best coach ever"

Kind of, in a backhanded way. You also said it "makes him look better than he is", which is what I was refuting. I'm saying his recruiting is a huge part of what makes him good. You said it just makes him look good.

Completely agree. Recruiting is part of being a head coach in college football. It doesn't matter how you get there if you win. There are many different ways to win games. It's kinda similar to when people try to knock Orgeron's championship because he doesn't coach either side of the ball. The end result is what's important.
