and FSU would have got left out, this Dawg fan would feel the same way; Its a disgrace and FSU got bent over the table. UGA did not deserve to be in the playoff, but neither did Bama. They had a loss, struggled against mighty S. Fl and needed a hail-mary to beat a 6-6 Auburn team just 2 weeks ago. You think FSU didn't have a chance to beat a team like that?
The playoff committee lost all cred with this decision and basically ruined the NCG. I'm kinda glad we didn't make it in, our '3-peat' quest would always have had an asterik by it. That's my final take on it...let the stoning begin.

Georgia deserved to be in as much as TCU did last year when they lost to Kansas State and didn’t drop. No, more than that.
Too bad an alliance of greed that cannibalized itself voted against playoff expansion.

FSU played the 55th toughest schedule in the country.
They played one possession games against Boston College, Clemson, and Miami, and were trailing 13-0 to North Alabama - with their starting QB. Then they needed a 4th quarter comeback to beat 5-7 Florida and snuck by Louisville a week later.
Oh, and they had the benefit of playing against FIVE (5) backup quarterbacks. “Championship caliber defense” my arse.
They didn’t deserve shite.

Well, I guess I'm being hard on my own team, I think UGA does have a pretty good argument. This journalist sure brought up a good one in our favor...

And that's what happens when a coaching staff spends a month getting ready for one team, which is why they got smoked by New Mexico State.
I also remember Auburn being tied with Georgia with about three minutes to go in their game — do you think FSU would've beaten Georgia?

Hey Rain Man, learn to read then go back and read my OP. I said FSU deserved to be in over BOTH Bama and UGA.

They went 13-0 against a group of teams that combined to have a losing record, had the benefit of playing against multiple backup QBs, and their best win would have been UGA & UA’s 3rd best win.

That isnt what happened. Sorry to stunt your copium flow but any team should be able to run base offense/ base defense and beat up the rent a wins. Auburn got purely dominated.

Every team in the playoffs has a win vs another playoff caliber team, or a team in a NY6 bowl. FSU 0-0 against those caliber teams the same as liberty.
Bama (2-1) with wins over UGA, Ole Miss and loss to Texas
Washington (2-0) 2 wins over Oregon
Michigan (2-0) wins over Ohio State and Penn State
Texas (1-0) win over Alabama
FSU 0-0 same as Liberty
